He's the same age as Favre was when they drafted him. I could see them taking a sit and wait QB this year. I just don't think any of the guys available in the 20's are going to be worth it and I now firmly believe Oakland and Jacksonville are added to the list of Miami, Denver, Cincinnati (Burrow-lock IMO), and Carolina of teams that will be searching. Then you have the Chargers, Patriots, Saints, and Steelers as look ahead teams for QB's. I think the Titans and Colts will stand pat. I think the Buccaneers will keep Winston, and the Lions with Stafford. But it could really be a wild QB off-season. There are a lot of guys available.
Can you really see the Bucs standing pat with Winston? He so darn inconsistent. I'm sure that's got to be driving them crazy. I would be surprised if they aren't looking to replace him.
I do. I think they'll franchise him and give it another go. He is consistent though. He's consistent at making huge mistakes and then covering them up with huge plays to follow shortly after. Truly an enigma. They're two plays away from being 9-5 and being in the hunt though. A missed chip shot field goal against the Giants after Winston got them there in 30 seconds and they also got jobbed vs. The Titans when they fumbled a fake punt and blew the play dead for some reason.
I agree. Arians may actually turn Winstons career around. If Arians can get him to not force even half the bad throws Winston could be the next gunslinger type.
You both may be right. If anyone can turn Winston around, it's probably Arians. If Arians likes him and believes in him, then I agree, they'll stick with him.
