I think I recently read an article that there is a massive discrepancy in success rates on QBs when they go into teams with a "good" situation (e.g. having made the playoffs in the last couple years) vs "bad" situations. Even though the supposed better prospects usually go to the teams in bad situations. Surrounding talent and coaching staff play a role.

Draft LT in round 1, and then BPA between Oline/WR rounds 3-5. Take flyers after that. A stud LT helps AR way more than a QB that may or may not develop - and not for nothing, I have zero faith between JD picking and Saleh developing another QB they have any clue what the right moves are. Sign a legit Vet backup that can win games if AR goes down, keep ZW as emergency #3 and truly let him learn from AR instead of a 1st round rookie....

The next QB the Jets draft and develop successfully will be their first since Namath (or Kenny O if you're being charitable). Their best bet, especially if they finish in the top 5 picks is to trade back and for god's sake address the OL and WL positions! Maybe, after they've done that they can take a flyer on a late round QB who might be a "sleeper" (I'd much prefer that over taking another DL/DB).

Unless he's planning to go to Buffalo, then surely he would want to win.

Seems he’s drank enough to have it not be a good idea to get behind the wheel of the old Subaru

I remember the posts here by few posters saying Tua is over rated and won’t be long and that ZW would be better. Oh Lordy

Why though? He hates us and it hurts us more for us to win that game than to lose it.

Because it would hurt him more if hes going to the Bills and the Patriots draft some great QB prospect.

Probably not. With the way both offenses are going this has 6-3 written all over it. I didn't think the Cardinals would go into Pittsburgh and get a win, but they did. So, anything is possible.

Agreed, short of bringing in a generational talent, no one is going to have success without the pieces in front of them (especially OL) being in a good place.

Even Mark Sanchez managed to look semi competent in front of a stacked OL and above average receivers with a good ground game. His game actually mostly started to fall off when Rex and Co allowed the foundation to crumble. Granted, I think if the Jets had kept Favre or managed to have a better QB they'd probably have won the SB with that team... But that's another story.

Tua can play, but I'm not sure he's going to have a very long career.

That guy may start exhibiting CTE while he's still an active player. His head is like a big raquetball.

Everyone advocating for drafting a quarterback seems to forget that’s what set Rodgers off in Green Bay in the first place (Jordan Love). We suck at 1st round quarterbacks anyways so either trade down a few spots (but remain in front of the patsies) or draft Harrison Jr. in the first and go qb in the third
