Trying to remember how we went from cap heaven to cap hell

    10 mil savings bc I was budgeting 7mil for a starting cb since we wouldn't have Revis. We can lock up Mo' long term. There's no reason this years cap hit would have to be more than it is at $15m. So again I ask, "Who do you want and at what cost?" You have 10mil to work with... or I'll give you $17 and you can add a cb too.

    I'm genuinely curious and am eagerly waiting to hear who you're getting and at what cost.

    I hate to be the one to break it to you (sorry, couldn't resist! LOL), but there would be no savings to cut Revis this season. The Jets would lose an additional $8 million against the cap wiping out any potential cap space, and probably the ability to sign our rookies without cutting other players. His cap number now is $17 million. If we cut him, his cap number would soar to $25 million.

    I appreciate your effort but this was a response to someone saying that if we hadn't signed revis then we'd be in a much better position this offseason.

    I was offering him the chance to tell me what he would do with the revis money (if we had never signed him).

    nice try though.
