I think I'm the only one in the Edwards over Holmes camp.

Even with a 4 game suspension looming? You'd better hope his lawyers are ass kickers. To me, that possible/probable suspension is the main difference that gives the edge to Holmes, but it is close because their skills complement each other. I want them both back, even if it means losing Cro.

At the same time, Holmes is 1 strike away from a year suspension. Both guys have their issues.

You'd hope that the Jets could sign both Holmes and Edwards at a discount due to their off the field issues. Unfortunately, the Fish's decision to sign Marshall to a mega-deal is working against those hopes.

Holmes will definitely be a Jet this year! Unless the new CBA makes him a UFA and someone offers him more money.

Nope, I'm with you. I'd much rather have Edwards then Holmes.

Would people have issues trading Cotchery/this years 3rd, and next years 2nd to say.. Denver for Elvis Dumervil?

We all love Cotch, and he deserves a ring, but Holmes, Edwards, Keller... hard to fit Cotchery in there.. We could resign Stuckey for the slot(who from i've read from other posters is a REAL slot wr)

I dont know a corner besides Aso/Revis(which we dont need to worry about) that can cover Holmes. Holmes is clear cut the better WR.

I would like to see Stuckey back, just not sure where he would fit in. Unless they traded Cotchery but I would rather have Cotchery over Stuckey.

me too, but isnt Cotchery more of a sidelines wr? I think Mr. E, WSW, or 624 said Stuckey is a true slot WR. Plus we could save about 7million dollars over 2 years with Cotchery out.

or we can save around 7-8 mil per year with guarantees by not signing Edwards..
If they sign Holmes, which they should, i just don't see a deal with Edwards getting done.

Or we could sign Edwards and let Holmes go elsewhere and save 9-10 million per year.

If they've exchanged dollar figures this is great news; if they haven't it's meaningless because all of the "I want to stay in NY" and "Holmes is our number one guy" rhetoric becomes moot if the player and the team have very different expectations.

Yeah as much as I love Jaco I'd make that trade. You can get a slot guy in the fifth round, plus we still got Turner on the roster.

Everyone can go if the price is right. Shit I hope Keller and Green are Jets for life but I'd trade them both for Dwight Freeny in a second.

The best FA signings we could have this offseason are our own.

I really could care less if Cro's back. Honestly I'd rather let him walk. If he doesn't have that retarted penalty in the beginning of the AFC Championship game Pittsburgh punts, they never go on a 10 minute drive that gasses our defense, that game never gets outta hand, and we're probably in Dallas two weeks later.

Just one of many dumbass Cro moves at the worst possible time.

Let somebody else feed his 37 kids.
