It better be. If memory serves correctly the Miami game was saved by a spectacular pick by Revis in the end zone

Imagine if we just beat the piss out of them, like 38-10.... How euphoric would this board be?

If Mangini starts calling the horsecrap scheme in 4th quarter, it won't matter how dominating Jets team really is in the first three quarters. He's got to stop fucking the team in the 4th quarter. True test starts in 4th quarter - hope that the Jets are man-handling them like 42-7 or something by then. If not, I see a Jets loss.

We have to win this shit. Just stop the run, and force Cassel to beat us.

We'd organize a trolling raid on some Pat's board no doubt. Damn that would be fun!

Matt Cassell is the new Rick Mirer. Their season is going to end the EXACT same way. Mark my words.

That WON'T happen if Mangini keeps calling piss-poor plays in the 4th quarter. Haven't you seen the Dolphins game?

I would be expecting to wake up from a dream and go looking for my Vodka right away.

We can beat them, but this game is no shoe in.

well, we're favored by 2.5 points. When was the last time we were favored over the pats? If we win, it won't be an upset, according to vegas, but I fear everyone on this board will act like we won the Superbowl

i'll be looking forward to watching a Jets team with momentum playing the premier team in the AFC the monday after.... One game at a time.

If they win sunday, they could go 4-0.

We can definitely take this game--maybe even by a big margin. All I saw of Cassel was that throw to Moss at the back of the end zone and it was a f**kin laser shot so the kids got an arm.
Did anyone see any tendencies from replays or any particular strengths or weaknesses? Does he move around a lot in the pocket--scramble?

I thought this was a game we should win, before Brady's injury. This just means we absolutly must take this game, now.
Sunday was just the type of game we used to lose.Is it possible we aren't the "same old JETS", anymore? If we can survive the early part of the season, we should really be in great shape after the bye week.
The Chargers will tell a lot about us. If we come out of monday nights game a winner, we should beat the Cards, and go into the bye, undefeated. WOW!
We cannot afford to overlook anyone. We have to just keep our focus, and "just win, baby".

I had to check -- the game is at 4:15pm, there's a 30% chance of precipitation. And the high for the day is forecast to be 79 degrees...which means we are going to be playing into the cool of the evening.

No excuses of heat and humidity then. Night game. Under the lights. It's a nightmare for somebody.

This game is about the trenches, pure and simple. Both QBs are at the mercy of their OL's ability to protect against pass rush and make the running game respectable.

Wilfork and Seymour have to be neutralized if Brett is going to have the time to do his thing.

Kris and Shaun are going to have to paralyze the Pats line so that Pace and Thomas and Barton and Harris can murderlize their backfield and draw some blood like in Miama.

Smacking Cassel in the mouth should be a new experience for that big tall guy.

The problem is, as I see it, that the Pats Big Uglies are coming in here with the biggest chip on their shoulder they probably have ever had.

Serby's column (that asshole!) from yesterday was probably mimeographed and plastered on the door of every DL's and OL's locker by the end of the day.

Those guys aren't afraid, they are being whipped up into a chronic frenzy by Billy B. Bet your bottom dollar.

This is going to be a knock-down drag out fight on the line of scrimmage all night long. If you guys think that they had a scab to pick last year, you wait till Sunday nite if you want to see football rage. You have to know that Bellichick is going to use the hell out of the Brady loss. In every way.

Our guys have to find a way to match the "wounded bear" intensity they are going to come in here with.

Those big bastards are fresh and they're just getting their "Big Mad" on.

Sunday nite may be the hardest game we have all year.

    ...Should be fun!

If that LOS is won, the secondary will get torched. The safeties may be savvier, but they are slower. Bomb the ball again.

Maybe I am not seeing this right because this is the Pats but this is not an acid test IMO, the game we play in Boston or wherever they play is the one that counts. The Jets are not even playing like a team yet but they will and week by week will get better and better. It would not surprise me if we were 7-1 the second half.

The moment Coles and Favre get on the same page--wow. When its not 100 frickin degrees we will get 5-7 more quality plays out of Jenkins. I really like Lowery, he was playing like a seasoned pro and that TD against him was perfectly executed and a pro-bowler could not have stopped it. Revis, even better.

We beat the phins w/o a kicker and play calling in the 4th was poor and I am glad Pennington played like a real pro and Miami was not playing like a 1-15 team and we stopped them, we won and we will win others and this next game is definately not make or break.

    December is make or break.

Don't discount Bellichick's ability to beat this team into a mad dog frenzy with anything he can reach. He's got a 2 x 4 made out of steel this week with the Brady thing.

    Pay attention.

Don has a good point elsewhere when he remarked that he would have liked to see us play these guys a few weeks from now after the rage has worn off and they have given up a bit, from Cassel's mediocrity and/or rust.

Sunday is going to be no picnic for anybody -- mark it down.

He was recruited by the #1 college program in the US and drafted by the #1 pro program in the NFL. Yes, next Sunday will be his first start since high school. I'm not sure I'm totally comforted by that fact given the two facts above.
