Whats this? No thoughts on the premiere last week? Basically a intro episode to the leads. Looking forward to today. Totally loved Collin Farrell's scene in episode 1 with son and father.
When is this on for you guys, in the Sunday night GoT slot? Got to say I wasn't that keen on the opener. One of the great things with season 1 was that it focused on just 2 main characters. There already appears to be 4 stories. Hope this doesn't spoil the tension season 1 achieved.
This season is a letdown but I can't say I wasn't expecting it. The writer essentially plagiarized another author for Mcconaughey's lines in Season 1. All the dialogue this season seems so pretentious and I just can't care enough for these characters. To me, Vince Vaughn is doing the best job but even some of the stuff he says feels like too much. No gangster is using the word "apoplectic"
Agreed. It's doing nothing for me really. The end of the last episode was entertaining enough but a bit OTT. Only the fact season 1 was so good is keeping me watching. I was struggling to get past the fact I don't think Colin Farrell is any good in the first place.
I actually dont think Farrell has been a bad actor in this show. However his character is one we have seen mb 1,234,765 times in movies before. A drunk cop who apparently has a dirty past, real original guys. Mcadams has been good I like her. Vaughn has been pulling off one of the worst acting performances Ive ever seen on a show this season, truly awful. Kitsch character really adds nothing to the show I dont know why hes on it. This season has been an immense letdown and as said earlier if it wasnt for season 1 being so good I wouldnt watch anymore of this.
I really don't get all the hate. This was still quality tv. Not as good as season 1 but people are acting like it sucks yet probably waiting on another season of the walking dead
Just way too complicating with the plot and characters. Still engaging though but weak compared to hype
With season 1 the acting was excellent, the story compelling, the production quality movie-like and the interaction between the two principal characters was out of this world. It was truly must watch TV. In season 2 there were 4 main characters that didn't engage me in the same way. I didn't much care what happened to them. The acting and storyline were weaker. The production values were still good, though I didn't feel that the location was as integral to the show as it was with season 1. There were some excellent set pieces, but on the whole it was run of the mill TV. Nothing special.
