What I said was a bit of an exaggeration Let me clarify what I meant. Our biggest positions of need moving forward are 30 or over. Both starting olbs in a. 3-4. Our nt. Which is why ellis was drafted. And a quality rotational inside lber Like I said I exaggerated but my post was pre empted by a quote discussing the lack of speed from our lbers Hey vorrecht. Boom post correction exaggeration correction headshot Jk lol
#Jets @Mark_Sanchez on @Santonio10’s catch at end of practice Tues: “It was better than the Super Bowl catch. It was sick.” #nyj janesports Jane McManus "Naw he's fine," Mark Sanchez on if he's concerned about Plaxico Burress' new back injury. #Jets What injury?
Apparently Burress tweaked his back reaching high for a pass. Everyone says he's fine. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...-wideout-plaxico-burress-tweaks-back-practice .
I swear ESPN must have an entire department assigned to plax at this point, I'm surprised we dont get minute by minute updates of him tying his shoes, I know he's the 'hot' comeback story but geez - they're like vultures just waiting for him to slip on a wet patch and break his foot...oh wait, too early?
ESPN is now reporting Plax got a small paper cut while opening his playbook in a meeting today. No official word, but they speculate he could be out 2 to 4 days.
Adam Schefter tweeting that Plaxico has refused to put neosporin on the cut; could lead to potential infection in the days to come. Terrell Owens being looked at as a potential replacement.
Watching Mark play this pre-season has made me think that him playing against our beastly secondary is really helping him out. He's been making some amazing plays so far, I'd go as far as saying this is the best he's ever looked during the pre-season in his whole career. I mean, sure he's playing against vanilla defenses, but he's been looking more poised in general and he's been a hell of a lot more confident. Plax will be ok, I hate how ESPN is all up in his business now. Lord knows they did enough to demonize the poor guy after the whole sweatpants incident.
So I watched the Bungles game yesterday. I know it was late against a terrible QB, but Brashton Satele was in beast mode. Any chance he makes the 53?
Maybe as a special teamer. In my opinion, Josh Mauga has the backup ILB spot locked down. Satele's main competition is UDFA Nick Bellore.
I agree about Josh. Nick has not impressed me all that much though. Satele had limited reps but seemed to be in on every play. He seems to have a nose for the ball. If he remains healthy and playing at this level for the rest of camp, I don't see him making it to the practice squad.
season over guys. plaxico was practicing at a NFL level, and his back hurts :.' ( <- thats a fag face crying.
JennyVrentas Jenny Vrentas Have Sanchez 8-for-9 with TD today in 11-on-11s. Some Wildcat snaps mixed into team drills. #nyj
TheJetsStream Manish Mehta #Jets kicking comp update RT @nyjets Nick Folk 4-5 (missed 58): Nick Novak 3-5 (missed 38, 58) Both drill 62-yarders to end practice #nyj
The frustrating thing about this kicking competition is that both can seem to drill the 60-yarders but routinely miss the 30-yarders.
To elaborate on this from here, "Sanchez was pinpoint-accurate with his throws, repeatedly hitting his receivers on the numbers and in stride"
