I would tend to agree with you had I not spent a good portion of my childhood watching Marcus Allen dominate at the goalie. I love a power running game, but the best attribute and short yardage back can have is the ability to see the opening and react fast. In his prime that was also a forte of Tomlinson who was a great goal line back. Vision trumps power in the short yardage game.
I won't deny you make a very valid argument and, really, there are benefits either way depending on the level of back you're talking about. It's hard to compare Greene to Allen and Tomlinson in his prime...but if you compared them to another HOF-calibre back who used more power than finesse it might appear a bit closer. Like I said, there are pros and cons both ways but pound for pound I personally would prefer a back who can power through a few tackles if need be when he only has a short way to go than a guy that is going to have to rely on vision and speed, which has advantages but if the way is clogged and he can't power through he's going nowhere...no matter how good he is.

Tebow has a very, very good success rate on plays from the 3 yard line and in. He can be a difference maker for us in that area this year - even though we already had the leagues best red zone offense.
