Do they not pay attention to the fact that Sanchez faces first team defense, and Tebow faces 2nd team defense?
They reported over and over how much they couldn't report on the Wildcat stuff. I would assume though that they would practice that stuff against the 1's. It would be dumb not to.
They let the media know too much. You shouldn't have to ask these idiots to not leak info..... Kick em out the damn facility.
I smell something funny in all of this wildcat talk. Rex keeps talking about how everyone needs to prepare for it, now they have the media reporting that they can't talk about wildcat practice. I am beginning to wonder if it's all just a decoy Rex & crew are building up while they really work on something different. Put 10 linemen on the field in a modified victory formation and let Tebow run it. Something strange like that. Who knows. They just seem to be talking about it way too much.
BUT BUT BUT IT'S TIM TEBOW! TEBOW TIME! Playing against 2nd stringers makes no difference when your Tim Tebow
Ive noticed the same thing...something seems fishy to me. I'm ready for the unveiling of the wildtiger.
I think some reporters like to make mention of a QB controversy when there isnt one. Mark is going up against one of the Top defenses in the NFL, but the second string is probably as good as half the league. The top thing to take away from Tebow is not that he is playing against 2's, it is that he is making passing strides. This can only be good for the team if Mark goes down for an injury. It is nice to have a competent backup and that is what Tebow is not matter what spin the media puts on it. Mark has looked good in camp and I think and hope it will transistion to games. We should be excited that both are doing well.
Yea I unfollowed him today ... someone suggested following him over the weekend. That didn't last long. Dude is a tard.
Boom: @MMehtaNYDN: Rex Ryan: "As much as everybody is trying to make it a qb controversy, it's not. Mark is our starting qb" @MMehtaNYDN: Rex on Cromartie being happy to play WR: "We'll see how excited he is when he gets smacked by a safety"
It would be nice if they'd at least get the stats right. Half the time they all report different #s. Nobody wins practice. What a joke.
I was thinking the same thing...they have different numbers and tracking who "wins" a practice is the stupidest thing ever.
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN How tight-lipped were Jets about Wildcat? Asked an innocuous question about whether he watched '08 Dolphins clips, Sanchez said: "Ask Coach" heh - I like the way they're handling this. I really think they may be sending everyone on a wild goose chase.
i still don't understand why we didn't trade our first round draft picks for the next 10 years for andrew luck /sarcasm
It kind of reminds me of how John Fox repeatedly said the same thing about Kyle Orton last year in Denver (almost identical, actually)...It took about 4-1/2 games for him to change his tune. Smells like the same thing is happening here.
The difference is mark is a winner, last I checked Orton has never been QB of a single playoff game let alone 4 road playoff wins.
