I hope you're right about MM's pass blocking because you make a good point about the likely "scary proposition" at opening day. I haven't looked at the Cleveland tape thoroughly, but I did see had MM with a questionable anchor on some passing plays. I'm just hoping that MM's still knocking off the rust from last year's stint on injured reserve.

Sabo: First play of teams (7v7), Aaron Rodgers hits Cobb for a quick one (3-step), decent coverage by MC2, and I’d say contact/tackle would have happened at catch point, but Cobb finishes it (YAC). Cobb’s legs looked great on that one. #Jets A few plays later, he overshoots Cobb down the sideline, incomplete. But Cobb created decent separation. Zach Wilson finds Allen Lazard (10-12 yards, timing), but it wasn’t anticipated well. Off pass interference calls it back, Hackett upset at the call. Not sure if ZW’s eyes started somewhere other than in AL’s direction. If so, the lateness of throw is much more understandable. If not, he wanted to see AL come OPEN first, rather than trusting the WR to win route. #Jets A little later, Trey Dean pops Dye near the LOS. If there’s one guy who’s thumping the hardest in open field this summer, it’s been Dean. Seeing some really positive signs for the rushing offense so far today (small sample). Bam takes the first play in 11v11 sessions, working on the back of Max Mitchell, who, yet again, does a solid job on the ground, allowing a bounce opp, 5-10 yards. After an MC carry for a couple, Aaron Rodgers hits Ruckert for a first (10-12 yards), solid Whitehead coverage, but when a pass is perfect in today’s NFL, it’s indefensible; it’s just that simple. AR then hits Corey Davis for another 10-12. #Jets
Faria: Who wants some Joe Tippmann notes? He’s working only with the third team but he helped open up a big run and a screen play. Think he should get more reps soon. #Jets

Connor Rogers: Really liked what Tippmann showed on tape in the HOF game. He’s starting to gain some momentum - his athleticism brings a higher ceiling than what the Jets have at the center position

Again, the #Jets first team is really enjoying the AVT-MM combo on the ground. This is by far the high point for the rushing attack all summer. Nothing flashy; just sound unit blocking at POA.

Sabo: Aaron Rodgers threads the needle to Conklin, between two backers (I think Mosley and Quincy, I think), perfect pass. #Jets Later, Lazard beat Sauce (although, listen, from this sideline view, it’s tough to truly know what the separation was, and I didn’t get a jump on what the coverage was), but AL drops an easy one, middle of field, perhaps due to feeling Mosley’s footsteps. We have our first open-field battle of summer: In one corner is Justin Hardee, the other, T.J. Luther. Away from the play, rush attempt, backside WR-CB battle, it appeared as though Luther was blocking hard, Hardee took exception to something, Luther took the first obvious shot, Hardee tried to respond but Luther retreated a bit, circled, looking to stand his ground in a “shield-like manner” (Braveheart: “Hold!”). Both guys to the floor, team comes in to pile up and break it up. #Jets
