I'll try to go back through the tweets and see if someone mentioned it. I feel like it was Max at LT and Turner at RT today but I'll check. EDIT: Tweet from @NYJets_Media at 11:25am: Max Mitchell in at LT Billy Turner in at RT #Jets Not sure if it stayed that way all practice but it definitely looks like Max got some run at LT today.
This is the main negative to Twitter not working on this forum any more. There's been a ton of videos posted that I can't easily post on here any more, just the commentary of the video.
REMINDER: Jets are off tomorrow and Saturday before returning to practice on Sunday for Green and White Day.
Following are some Tweets by Jets Media "Zach Wilson escapes pressure and picks up a huge gain with his legs" "Trey Dean just had a late hit on Michael Carter which resulted in a little skirmish" "Bryce Hall with a nice PBU on Alex Erickson on an out route Pass from Zach Wilson"
It would make sense that the best plays came from left side since he was there. It looks like he is ahead of other OTs so far.
From Willpa: "Constant theme… Rodgers to Conklin for 8-12 yards and Jermaine Johnson blowing up plays"
Zach Rosenblatt: "Chris Streveler with a long run up the middle, gets a big cheer from the crowd." "Zach Wilson just completed a pass but in a game might’ve been sack sandwiched by Bruce Huff and Jermaine Johnson."
Nick Faria: "Nice ball from Zach Wilson to Yeboah. Stepped up in the pocket and delivered a nice throw over the middle." Yeboah has been making quite a few catches in camp. With Ruckert coming on and the additions of Kuntz and Jenkins, I had kind of written him off, but it sounds like he has other ideas. Just to show I don't just post positive news about Zach: "Poor pocket awareness from Zach Wilson. He stepped up and got absolutely squished by Solomon Thomas and another defender. Rough team period for him…he was late whenever he was able to get a throw off."
This may explain why you always expect others to follow your path of being "a real fan" and why it is totally ridiculous to try to set the standards for others. I have been a fan since the Jets were the Titans; I had my season tickets at Shea through most of the 70s but I have never had any fear whatsoever about it; I have never had a knee jerk reaction, positive or negative about a practice report on anyone. I have never allowed being a fan to condition me to respond in any way. That's a good thing - it has never allowed the Jets to make a fool of me. I have never panicked because of something the Jets, or any entertainers, have ever done. It takes absolutely no mental struggle whatsoever. I am never depressed by what happens in an entertainment venue. I don't lose sleep over who may get injured, traded or retired - I enjoy the uncertainty that is inherent. Adversity is part of the game but there is no reason for it to be allowed to crush me, I'm just a fan - I have no control, no input into anything they do. Sports is not supposed to be about positivity or negativity but both in equal proportions - sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. In fact, sports is constructed in such a way that for every winner there is a loser; it's a 50/50 proposition. If reality brings you to believe the pervasive attitude is one of negativity and depression why put yourself through it? Don't just take a hiatus and come back with renewed unrealistic expectations; either find a way to deal with the reality of every situation or turn it off. Don't expect anyone to do things the way you do if it brings you such misery. You may end up living longer if you reflect on that.
We've been doing great in picking up surprise performances from rooks and ufa's lately. It would be huge if this kid can step in game 1.
LOL yeah really ….. dude spouts off in training camp about the job his predecessor did ….who does that? What does he care about the Jets? Funny comments coming from the guy who orchestrated ‘Bounty Gate’…moron.
My hope is he's able to be a viable swing OT this year and then gets a bigger opportunity next offseason when Duane Brown is most likely gone. Imagine filling our OT spots with a couple of 4th rounders in Max Mitchell and Carter Warren. Could be a massive W.
Looks like we are going to lose some of these talented backup TEs we have. I don’t see anyway we can keep them under wraps. Boah and Kuntz with his athleticism, plus we have Ruckert coming on and two starters already. We went from being very poor at that position to having an overflow of talent now
You are right, just my luck, I invested in a Kuntz jersey I dont think they will be able to keep Yeboah and Kuntz on the practice squad. Maybe Kuntz. Someone will poach Yeboah
