Doing well …. Looking forward to this season but at the same time trying to stay on an even keel ….. don’t get too far ahead. I’ve been a fan of this team for way too long ….but very hopeful.
Sabo: Quinnen Williams blows up the first play of teams (MC rush attempt). Full pads but never live to the ground (of course, in today’s game). Q beat the OL to the spot, but it may have also been a positioning problem (based on assignments—a little of both). Second play, free play for Aaron Rodgers (offsides), he takes a shot for GW vs DJ, good throw, better coverage. Rookie Trey Dean gets things going by taking Max to the ground near the sideline. Wraps and continues to DRIVE. Finishes the play, OL Senat takes umbrage and also gets involved. If I’m Ulbrich, I’m slapping Dean on the back with a very quiet, “Great job, kid.” While “live to the ground” is the way of the football world, defenders have to sometimes ramp up the tempo and momentum with a full stop that makes noise. #Jets Nice callout here: Big WR Irv Charles puts a great block on MC2 (designed passing play). Not a stalk block in the least; a legit block with great hand placement and positioning. #Jets This kid has talent and size. First Penn State, then IUP.
Rosenblatt: Daily occurrence: Quinnen Williams blowing up a running play. Almost got to Michael Carter before he was even handed the ball. #Jets Trey Dean held on a little too long to Michael Carter at the end of a “tackle” which the offensive linemen didn’t take kindly too. Dean got a few shoves from the big men. #Jets Mekhi Becton hasn’t gotten reps in team drills yet. Unclear if he’s being held out of those but will know better as practice progresses. #Jets Quincy Williams with a nice diving play to break up an Aaron Rodgers pass. #Jets
Iannazzone: Garrett Wilson is limping and being checked by trainers. He previously leapt for a pass that DJ Reed knocked away. #Jets Haven’t seen Garrett Wilson since he was getting checked by trainer. #Jets
Faria: “Halftime” at #Jets practice. - good day for Carter Warren, bad start for the rest of the OL. - DJ Reed is good - Garrett Wilson came off limping- has not returned to the field. - Mekhi, and Lazard did not take part in team. The Carter Warren-Will McDonald battle today has been fun to watch. Warren definitely got the better of the first-rounder in team there. Very good positioning. #Jets are high on him for a reason
Andy Vasquez: Quincy Williams nearly picks off Aaron Rodgers early in team drills. Read the pass and had it in his hands but couldn’t hold on for the jumping interception. #jets Zach Wilson makes a nice play. Steps up in the pocket under pressure and finds Kenny Yeboah for a big gain. #Jets
Costello: No Garrett Wilson in this team period. Also have not seen Corey Davis. Rosenblatt: I don’t see Garrett Wilson on the sideline during team drills.
Waszak Jr.: No Garrett Wilson or Corey Davis to start the second set of team drills. CJ Uzomah, back from PUP, getting some run Mekhi Becton also practicing today. #Jets
Very interesting. With Billy Turner getting beat like a drum on daily basis according to these tweets, can Warren actually be day 1 starter?
Faria: Poor pocket awareness from Zach Wilson. He stepped up and got absolutely squished by Solomon Thomas and another defender. Rough team period for him…he was late whenever he was able to get a throw off. #Jets
@NYJets_Media: Michael Clemons, Will McDonald & Solly Thomas gets home and forces a sack on Zach Wilson This pass rush is ferocious #Jets Quinnen Williams & Jermaine Johnson stop Michael Carter on a toss to the outside for a TFL on the first play in the red zone #Jets
Faria: Red-Zone 11v11 work now Rodgers does not have any of his projected starting wideouts in there right now. #Jets
Sabo: Aaron Rodgers’s offense just ripped off one of its better rush attempts of camp. Red zone score. Not that it hit for a big gain, but rather how it dealt with the blocking execution (left side). Bam Knight. #Jets
For those that have Twitter and want to see the play where GW rolled his ankle, search for the Twitter handle below for this tweet. @dontcoolthejets: Looks like a straightforward rolled up right ankle on the second foot that hit the ground after he landed. I would be shocked if it’s anything more than a simple sprain — but obviously he should be done for today. He should be sidelined until it’s 100% again. A “doctor” (only using quotations because I don’t have the time to check his credibility) said this in response to the picture posted: @DrJesseMorse: Yup that’s a classic right lateral ankle sprain. Video coming soon…
Rosenblatt: Chris Streveler with a TD pass to the back of the end zone to Jason Brownlee, who made a nice catch. Brownlee has impressed in camp. #Jets Aaron Rodgers with a 25-yard TD to Jason Brownlee, who was wide open. #Jets
Faria: Been continuously impressed with Jason Brownlee today and through camp. Caught a TD in red zone and is now working with the first team. #Jets
