Feel like I’ve heard Tru’s name on a number of picks at this point. Maybe he’s getting his shit together.
Turnovers weren’t the problem for Tru last year. He led the team in picks despite missing 6 games. He just got beaten a lot. Honestly there are so few shutdown corners with today’s rules that there’s a place in the game for ballhawking corners who occasionally get beat deep. Turnovers are crucial.
IMO the not so fast corners that have really good ball skills are worth their weight in gold.....over the years we have had a couple - otis smith and marcus coleman. i can live with open receivers and long as the turnovers and 3rd down efficiency are above average.
Polite been making plays the past 2 or 3 practices. The knock on him was he was a crappy practice player, but showed up on the field. Time to give him some first team shots
