My brother is a big Bills fan who gives me crap every offseason about how good the Bills are gonna be and how bad the Jets are. Funny thing is that he talks up Rex so much when he hated him when he was coaching here. But supposedly they're going 11-5 this year. I get how he expects them to improve over a 9-7 season, but they got even worse at QB. I think Orton was better than what they have now. Their offensive line is also bad, so I am not sure how well Shady McCoy is gonna run behind it. I don't see how Rex will help anything as he never seems to give a crap about offense so other than their D, I am not worried about them.
I like this. Good for you Darrelle. You keep this kind of thing up, and I'll be able to forgive and forget your history of greed and holdouts.
Lol. You're right I don't have proof. Hence why I made sure to include "seemingly" into my statement.
Yeesh. That sounds like Jets Camp 2012 w/ Sparano and the gang.I'm not sure it all falls on the QB either. W/ the talent Buffalo has at the skills..any decent back-up should at the very least be able to move the chains. Somethin about Rex as head coach & the offense... I also think in some ways their skill group is overrated. That's not to say they aren't very young & very talented. No doubt there will be weeks where they make their share of explosive plays.I question their fit in a cold weather city/division. Not so much McCoy but Harvin,Watkins,Woods & Clay. Everyone of those guys is a warm weather guy. And who exactly is gonna "play physical" to Rex's typical rallying cry? They don't have ANYONE physical at the skills. So much for "ground & pound".
If they try to ground and pound with McCoy back there regardless how good he is that's not how he runs I don't think he will last all season like that
Revis admitted to that type of behaviour in 2010 - http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...amstring-contract-situation-article-1.1124601
Maybe I missed it but I don't see anything that would suggest that? Anyway, I really really doubt this Mo thing has anything to do with his contract. Guys get injured, sometimes guys who are negotiating a new contract get injured, that doesn't mean anything. Is Devin Smith holding out? How about Ridley? Mo is one of the most respected guys in the locker room, he wouldn't pull this kind of crap. It would just make things worse. And really, how long can you milk this thing? A sore (not even) hamstring? A couple of days? He will have to return to practice in the next couple of days anyway and there's no way he's getting a contract before he returns to practice, so what's the point?
Seriously. Throughout all of the Rex tenure, every single day would entail the offense getting smacked around by the D.
I agree and do not think the Mo is the type of player who would feign injury - nothing he has done to date gives me any negative vibe as he reported and would stated he hopes it gets done but as it is a business I feel he would play out the current deal if he had to - I just wanted to point out that Revis was like that in 2010 and he admitted to it.
