It was a good thing that the Jets didn't flop back to a shouting disciplinarian with this coaching change. We've been back and forth with Parcells/Groh, Edwards, Mangini and then Rex. It looked like we might go that route again with Marrone but I think it was a wise move to go with the low-key guy. Players will hear a coach just fine whether he shouts or not. The shouters have a short shelf life most of the time because shouting just turns people off over time. It works for awhile and then the players learn how to tune it out. Bowles has a chance to be a very good coach. Hopefully the QB situation resolves and lets that chance turn into reality.
Decker & Kerley running those crisp routes. Devin also looked pretty good. Walter Powell & Shaq Evans looked brutal.
QB competition over. @DarrylSlater Geno Smith with a sideline overthrow to Devin Smith. Quarterbacks being asked to make tough sideline throws in drill now. #Jets
That he's constantly banged up and limited. I'd rather have him miss a year and then play 16 games and get 350 carries instead of him keep getting banged up and being limited to 10 carries per game each time.
I wouldnt worry. there aren't many 350 carry backs anymore. He's effective and doesn't miss games. if he has to pedal the tour de france so be it.
Marshall just "waived off Petty because he wanted Geno throwing to him." Excuse me, who the fuck does he think he is?
