 Poison Ivory? You know there's a difference between Ivy and Ivory correct? Lolz! Sanchez raps now too, I guess. Maybe he should join up with the Manning brothers.
Lets not get carried away just yet.. I am very optimistic and think we are on the right track, but this weekends game against the Jags might give us a very false sense of confidence (The players and the fans)....We might blow them out and people are gonna be losing their minds on here booking Super Bowl tickets and shit.. Lets take this one week at a time.
That's because he made a deal with the devil (or perhaps the other teams), get pounded and not get hurt but cough up the ball to the other team rather than hang on to it. I'd rather have a QB hold onto the ball, he already gives it away to the other team for nothing when he releases the ball.
Percy Harvin had some serious migraine issues early in his career as well. I get headaches but mine are usually stress or allergy related so I can't even imagine what it is like to get them everyday and then have to go out and bang heads with some monsters a few hours a day. The one that really stood out last year was the ridiculous cheap shot in Pittsburgh. It's not the amount of hits it's the impact of the hits. He gets absolutely blasted and many times they don't throw flags. It's almost as if there is a memo that goes out every week that says open season on Sanchez. One thing we can't ever question is his toughness. I couldn't imagine a ming vase like Chad or Trent Green back there. Poor guy would get killed. This post is full of
I thought I heard on the radio that he didn't travel to Detroit because he tweaked his knee, wasn't mentioned as serious if I remember correctly.
He got hurt again today, sucks as I thought he was a very healthy guy all throughout college. Hopefully it's just precaution and they'll hold him out for a few days.
He was the 5th least sacked QB in 2009/10 but he still took hits while running and a couple of illegals. The hit in Pitt last year was the end of Mark's psyche. He was starting to feel pressure when there was none. It was pretty obvious at that point. Sacked 40 times in 2012 I think.
you really think Rex would sit his favorite QB unless he was ordered to? IMO it was never a question of who would be the Jets starting QB after Garrard retired. I love Geno but the guy has no chance of starting game 1 this year with Rex as HC.
Geno has every chance in the world to be the starting QB. He needs to earn the job. Thus far Geno has not earned the job and neither has Sanchez. The Geno ball washers need to stop pretending otherwise.
Appearantly during spring drills it was pretty appearant Geno was behind the 8 ball. However, during camp it seems pretty well chronicled that he has closed the gap significantly. If he keeps the same trajectory his ceiling his light years beyond Sanchez' at this point. Given time it won't even be a question. It's just a matter of continued to learn and getting some real live game experience so that he can make decisions faster in his head at this level. That will only come with live regular season games.
I would disagree with both of your points, In 2009 and 2010 he still imploded when pressured just like 2011-2012. he had roughly the same number of fumbles per year on a lot less QB hits on 2009-2010. Secondly I would disagree that he takes hits on hits he does not see coming. the problem is he sees the defender and freezes and then shuffles his feet waiting to get hit not sure what to do. The Baltimore game you used an example is a good example. In that game with Mangold out Sanchez was given the responsibility of setting blitz pickup (which was quickly taken away form him after the game). On both sacks he saw the man coming at him and froze and just stood there in panic mode waving the ball above his head unsure what to do. He had the opportunity to either throw the ball away for secure the football. In both cases he did neither. This is quite different than the other type of sack and hit you often see him take where he panics and visibly lowers his head and runs randomly he hits something or something hits him. A good example of this type of play is The SF game fumble or the buttfumble game. But pretty much most if not all the fumbles result from panicking and him freezing up when he sees pressure. This has been a problem from 2009 on and the reason why they had to limit his exposure to pass rushes in 2009 and 2010 so much by running draws and quick short passes to protect the team from his mistakes.
