    Ok. Lets recap.

    I told you about Garrard.

I told you Smith would not start.

And, unless the jets go 1-3 over the first four...(they wont) Smith is a backup till 2015.

    Oh, so now...its favortism....

    Get real.

Ive told you since the offseason, the competition mantra was a joke.Tell me I am wrong.

Geno can play, but he was not drafted as an NFL ready starter.

Geno will start 100% week 1 unless he gets hurt.

I don't think they planned for Geno going into the draft, I think they wanted Garrad to win the job initially but after geno fell and Garrard got hurt they wanted Geno to win the job. All he had to do was show he was ready and the job would have been his.

If geno didn't have the ankle issue he'd be starting Saturday. Things changed when he got hurt.

    okay... this is pretty funny.

    Seth Walder
My (real) full Cortland QB stats:

    Sanchez 71-125 (56.8%), 10 TDs, 4 INTs, 10 sacks.

    Geno 70-124 (56.5%), 10 TDs, 5 INTs, 14 sacks. #nyj

So Geno and Mark almost identical in statistics, actually. Sort of crazy how close they were. #nyj

no kidding. mind you most of genos INT came today, but hell its not a lot for either in the grand scheme.

we haven't been able to get a real LOOK at how they've been while they attained these numbers, so the statistics mean little. the only thing they tell is that they've been close and that its the little things like chemistry with receivers and playing mistake free that will matter.

Junc, your response to me, ignores Garrards injury history.

Which is why I pointed out the retard hypocrisy, immediately.

Smith complicated it, and thats where Idzik screwed the pooch...(and Geno).

He should have dismissed the media rehab, and just let Geno play.

They will start the season, no worse than 3-1.

They have a great shot at NE, which is the game that decides the division.

They finish, better than 8-8(i say11-5)

Sanchez ends this season, as next seasons defacto starter.

    Its not complicated.

regardless of Garrard I think once they drafted geno he was going to compete for the job. If Garrard could have stayed healthy I think they would have let Mark go.

What a fantastic post. Not dripping with sarcasm or loaded with green goggled optimism! As much as I've been down on Sanchez and would love for Geno or Gmac to get the shot we really would be, overall, a better team if Sanchez returned to The Sanchize, responded to the competition and put together a solid year. Judging from camp reports we will have, at least, a competitive WR corps and it would only get better with the return of Holmes (not optimistic about his return but it would help).

I'm cautiously hoping but waiting with abated breath.

The only NFL offense. geno was ready to play for was NE, that actually incorporates the Airraid.

Junc, it boils down to this.

They were teaching Sanchez to cut down on fumbles.

They were teaching Geno, to tale snaps from under center.

Sanchez was suppose to be cut but Garrard got hurt

Idzik should have done better getting a mentor for Geno

    Hasselbeck was ideal for us

Oh, and since this is a training camp threat...I'm THRILLED to hear that Ivory practiced and finished practice on the field as opposed to an exercise bike!

This would be the greatest Jets moment, since stealing CMart.

They will regret not drafting Geno.

They run the closest NFL offense to the airraid.

if he takes off with this new offense, is able to have a steady set of WRS, and stays healthy, sure. Sanchez is young not old so that helps too.

Sanchez was never going to be cut. Now youre just being retarded.(12 mil?)

Yeah, the Jets were going to start the season, with a cripple and Sackelroy?

Remember, the TOP QB in The draft, wasnt ahead of Milliner amd Richardson on the Jets board, and should not have fallen to 39. (belichick is now on suicide watch)

    Cmon man.

I dont think they ever planned to cut Sanchez and take the $17m cap hit. Thats just uneconomic, we wouldnt have been able to sign even cheap FAs. He was going to be part of the competition no matter who was brought in.
