if trading Mo plus our first was enough to get Goff or Wentz, I'd do it (and i'm a big Mo fan). i believe these guys will grow into decent starters in this league, with the upside of being very good. that said, it probably would not be enough, so it's not likely.
Goff is worth trading up maybe a few spots but not the farm... If he is still there at #14 I would offer the Raiders #20 + 3rd for Goff just in front of the LA Rams. Moving into the top 10 will be to expensive when we need a lot of cheap fixes this year.
This is the first I've heard of it. I saw no such news and have seen no discussion here regarding it until now. Go fuck yourself, dumbass.
Hhahahaha. So to recap. You belittle someone for saying the picks are tradable. It turns out you are completely wrong. I think you should re evaluate who the dumbass is. I could start a whole thread with things that NCJetsfan has said that are factually incorrect. Remember when you said that the 2014 Patriots weren't a contender a couple weeks ago? I still think about that and laugh at you.
i don't want to trade up period for any of these qb's. If one drops to 20 that's a different story. Every year we talk up the top few qb's, but how many times do they actually pan out. I'd sooner take a chance on Lynch at 20 vs trading up.
You constantly disagree and criticize, but rarely have correct information. might want to broaden your news sources beyond the TGG, or at least tone back the name calling..
Disagreeing is my right, as it is everyone's. You certainly do your share of disagreeing with me and that's fine. You are wrong about my rarely having correct information. I generally check out facts and figures before I post as I don't want to spread false information. When I don't have time to research it first, I will usually say that I didn't have time to check it out. I do read other sources. I read most of the articles linked from this site, read other sites (including nfl.com) and the newspaper, and I've not seen one single mention of their changing the policy on compensatory picks beginning next season.
No, not interested. I want our top pick this year to be optionable year 5 and that doesn't happen on the 32 pick this year due to the Pats losing their 1st. The trade value chart says 20 for 32 and 65 is a big win for the team trading 20 but 32 is usually a 1st round pick and gets a cheap 5th year option and then 6th year at franchise tag. This year the 32 just gets 5th year at franchise tag.
Hmm, while I get the value of the extra year on the contract I don't understand the reasoning in this particular case. It's 8 years of contract versus 5 years of contract.
The Jets have historically had trouble dealing with their successful top picks. If Maccagnan is going to get that turned around he really needs the ability to operate smoothly over the next 3 years. We've already got Richardson and Pryor coming up for their extensions in 2017 and 2018. We've got Williams coming up in 2019. We don't want three second round picks coming up alongside Williams after dealing with the other guys, particularly if one of them is the QB. The math just gets all screwy at that point.
