Look, all of these contracts that where handed out where all guaranteed and heavy in the first 2 years, the same length of control the Jets still have over Wilkerson. It allows the Jets to be competitive now, and draft for the future at any position they choose. In 2 years, we may not see Cromartie, Harris, Marshall. By then, the Jets could have their replacements drafted, and space for Wilkerson to stay on with Richardson. Let's keep a strength, a strength.
I don't give a shit what's best for Mariotta. If he isn't on NYJ, he can switch to competitive Zumba for all I care. Yeah, maybe he'd become second coming of Montana in GB or DEN. I care about what's best for Jets so if MM becomes "only" Namath here, I'll run with it.
Well .. You pretty damn sure should care. We don't have personell to make home successful. If you can't see that ... Jokes on you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
They traded Graham because they're in ridiculous cap trouble. They may even have to get rid of Brees. Tell me, do you think the Saints got fair compensation? I doubt they do. I'll guarantee they don't draft a player with that pick who is as valuable as Graham was.
It's absolutey asinine to want our franchise QB to go be a franchise QB of another franchise because he might be incrementally better at that other franchise that is not MY franchise. _
He's not the only one. I've heard quite a few posters repeat the idiotic mantra that the Eagles are the "best" place for Mariota. I don't get it. _
The personnel to make him successful... do you mean receivers that can outrun all NFL corners so he can underthrow them while they are wide open?
Joe Montana was a 3rd round pick. Kurt Warner was undrafted. Nobody actually thinks Fitz is going to lead a SB run. I think we have the right HC in place. We need to find the QB. So if Mariota is there at #6, it makes sense to pull the trigger on him. But keep in mind that for every Aaron Rodgers or Big Ben there are like 5 or more Joey Harringtons, David Carrs, Andre Wares, Tommy Maddoxes, and Blaine Gabberts.
He can be very successful in Philly, since Chip Kelly his former coach is there, and the Eagles offense is damn near the same as Oregon's when Chip was there. They set the Tempo, run a lot out of the Gun, and occasionally run QB designed run plays. All perfect fits for Mariota.
What the fuck does that have ANYTHING to do with my Jets? Lasagna monkeys fluorescent lights toy soldiers. _
