Does this deal make any sense... (not an actual rumor, just my speculation) Broncos get: Brady Quinn, #17, 4th (Jets) Browns get: Kellen Clemens, Bryan Thomas, Tony Scheffler Jets get: Jay Cutler
good thing we are now not only evaluating the elements of fake trade news but analyzing the the feasibility of posts making fun of posts that are attempting to evaluate the elements of fake trade news.
Well, Mangini doesn't like Quinn (from what I've heard... not sure how legit that is, but I've heard it a few times) and hes familiar with Clemens and Thomas. Plus he gets a very legit starting tight end that that team desperately lacks after trading Winslow.
He was in an open QB competition with Chad until Favre came in. If Favre had went down with injury, sure, it would have been KC. I don't see your point though.
There aren't 10 franchise QB's in the game right now. The list of franchise QB's would be P. Manning, T. Brady, B. Roethlisberger and D. Brees. The maybes are E. Manning, P. Rivers, D. McNabb, M. Ryan and T. Romo. I'd take all of those guys and A. Rodgers over Cutler. You could make an argument that all of them except for McNabb would be worth a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick. Cutler definitely is not.
this has got to be one of the dumbest posts of the year, so far... a billion dollar business and he'd do a trade out of spite and ruin the franchise in the process... uummm o.k.
I was not making fun of him I just thought him might not have known that we did not have a 5th round pick thats all.
If the Jets have a chance to get Jay Cutler then they would have to do it. But I doubt they can offer more then teams like the Browns and Lions could.
Not to mention if he really thought Cutler was good he'd keep him and if he thought he wasn't and traded him to the AFC East he'd be doing NE a favor by crippling one of their competitors for a bunch of seasons.
