When did he say that? He just was on TV saying he wanted to stay with the eagles and wanted no part of a trade.

I don't think he's the answer to our safety problems. Hopefully we can see him light some people up before his muscles fall off though.

Unfortunately for you guys, they don't play the Pats until far enough down the schedule that he's bound to be hurt.

Talib's contract is cheap, and considering how talented he is, combined with the fact that Rex's defense HEAVILY relies on corners it seems like a no brainer.

We already have like what 6-7 draft picks in the last 2 rounds

Id have no problem trading one for a high upside corner

who only has 1 deal left on his contract.

$9.9 million FS for sure. Hopefully we can surrender a 1st and 2nd while we're at it.

Talib shit the bed with his off the field decisions, multiple times. Tampa bays weakness is dbs and there's talk down here in tampa schiano might not even want him.

The last thing we need is a guy who couldn't stay out of trouble playing in tampa let alone the tri state area.

He's a fuckup away from being suspended for a year and that's the last thing this team needs after last year.

Holmes already plays that role well.

Besides revis cro wilson, we don't need talent at cb we need a pass rush. And I know you suggested he switch to fs. But the last thing we need is another liability whether it be character or talent

When you have the opportunity to pay over $10 million a year for a safety who struggles in man coverage and refuses to play physical under any circumstances, you have to take it!

    *face palm*

    Assumption 1: He costs around a 5th
Assumption 2: He restructures so we fit him under the cap and we have room for all our rookies/etc.

I'm asking whether this is a good FOOTBALL move. He's not good man-to-man, but he's pretty good in zone and I, for one, think he might be pretty good at free safety given his skill sets.

No, it's not a good football move.

You don't take a guy who is considered on the smaller-than-average side for a CB and move him to a position where size is even more of a factor.

He's not a great tackler and is generally regarded as a guy with good ball skills but not a very physical player.

Funny, I didn't even realize Leonhard was that small... he does play bigger than his size. But he also can't seem to finish a season healthy, so...
