Why would the Lions trade up for our pick? This thread seems irrelevant.

1st they are crapier than us and have as many holes
2nd Who would be their target at 4(i guess M Williams if he is still there) but would they give up a 2 rnd pick when they have that many holes? And remember it wasnt Millen who traded up one spot for a 2nd rnd pick it was Butch Davis who is no longer in the league.
3rd They might be a trade down target. If we dont pick a QB. GB, SF, Oak(they all say they might pass on a QB), Buff(losman wont be traded) they could be in position for the 2nd best QB. And someone might overpay, this is not a scenario I think will happen but it could.
4th Why will they to draft 3 WR's then a TE... so trade down...At that point none of their BPA's fit their needs.....(they wont pick a TE unless millen wants to get shot, Huff.......jeez a saftey in the top 10 rarely happens that is a rough pick for a garbage team, BUT THAT IS THE POSSIBLITY, they dont need a QB they got 2 new guys this yr....Rb, WR, FB, OG, C, LB, DE, CB shouldnt be BPA at that point unless Millen and his scouts are big idiots
Winston Justice? not sure he is a need at 10, but later.....
Ngota or Bunkley could be a choice.........

As you see why would they trade up? remember they have tons of holes, Is Williams worth a 10 overall and a 2nd? probably not

Redo the 3rd grade and learn how to use your words better. That last line is atrocious.

I'd love the idea of a trade-down to stockpile even more picks, but if we stay put we are still sitting pretty. You don't say that too often when you also hold the #4 overall, so I would probably opt to stay put and grab me some BPA with the first one.

    1) No
    2) Your team is moving out of Buffalo unless Golisano steps up (it's slowly becoming fact and may even happen while Wilson owns them..he may sell them off soon, if not his heirs will)
    3) Your team has had a horrible offseason. In no way have they improved themselves, and in fact lost some of their best players.

yeah...mmm nice job crap team that likely won't even still be in buffalo in a few seasons nice

If we really have some one targeted who we can get between 9 and 15 we should make our pick at 4 and trade the pick for who we want and additional picks. We should not just trade down we should only trade a player for a player we absolutely want. If we can swap Mario or DBrick for Justice and a second and we love Justice that's an intresting move. We must get a potentially great player with our 4. The only way to do that with a trade down is to trade down with someone who has our player locked up. Similiar to what the Chargers and Giants did with Manning and Rivers.

You stay put and grab the best available player. That being said; I wouldn't cry if we had to trade up a spot to secure a franchice QB.

We' have decent picks in next year's draft and FA to fill determined ( then) holes. Then we'll have a legit shot (unless the football gods have cursed us) to make a run at the championship in two years.

Let's just pray that we have a FO and CS that knows what they are doing.

Remember........we are rebuilding and the the new players and coaching staff need to learn on the job. Mistakes will be made, but those wrinkles can be ironed out with steady hands and cool heads.

Got rid of our best players? We got rid of guys that do not fit our new scheme. Milloy was old, expensive and does not fit our new Cover 2 defense. Mike Williams was a bust, Sam Adams and Eric Moulds I am sad to see go. They other guys were old and expensive. Say what you want but Marv Levy knows what he is doing. At the moment he is fixing Donahoe's and Mularkeys mess and bringing in his kind of guys high character and young players. At the end of the 2006 season you guys will see who has the last laugh. Didnt you guys lose Abraham, Law, Mawae, and Fabini. Talk about losing your best players

I didnt know you could judge a NFL QB basically in his rookie season on only 8 starts. Wow if thats the way NFL teams should judge QB's then there would be no QB's left in the league except for Brady and Rothlisberger. Losman hasnt even developed yet and the second half of the season he improved. Now lets talk about your QB situation: Chad Pennington - coming off 2 major shoulder surgerys and always had a weak arm to begin with. Patrick Ramsey - how many times in Washington was he benched in favor of another QB. Bollinger - need I say anything. Looks pretty bad to me.

#1) I don't think there is a GM/Coach in the league (and this is JMO) that would take a healthy Losman over a banged up Pennington. Chad is in a whole different league than Losman. Putting the two in the same sentence should be forbidden.

#2) In 2005, Bollinger in 11 games (9 starts) threw for 1558 yards, had a 56.4 completion percentage, threw for 7tds and 6 picks, and posted a 72.9 qb rating.

Losman in 9 games 8 starts threw for 1340 yards, had a 49.6 completion percentage, 8tds 8picks and had a 64.9 qb rating.

If Brooks looks pretty bad to you, how does lil J.P. look?

#3) The same thing you said for Losman you can say for Ramsey. He's never had a chance to develop.

Also, let me just throw this out there.....In Ramsey's rookie season he started just 5 games (Played in 9). He threw for 1539 yds, had a 51.5 completion percentage 9tds, 8 ints, and had a 71.8 qb rating. UNDER STEVE FREAKIN SPURRIER!

Again, how does J.P. look compared to that?

No matter which way you cut it, of the 4 QB's were talking about here, I'd say Losman is hands down at the bottom of the barrell.

As a Bills fan you shouldnt say anything to diss our team right now..

We beat you on Jan 1 with:
    1) Shaun Ellis, Dewayne Robertson, Chad Pennington, Curtis Martin, Jay Fiedler, Derrick Blaylock, and either Vic Hobson or Eric Barton ALL ON THE DL...
    2) Brooks Bollinger was our starting QB, our FOURTH STRINGER!
    3) Cedric Houston was out starting RB, our THIRD STRINGER
    4) only one person on our O-Line playing their original position was Brandon Moore.

We beat you with a scrub team, and you have the nerve to diss our team?

Lossman has a lot to prove but I couldn't disagree with this statement more. Pennington would be hard pressed to get a vet minimum deal if he didn't have leverage because of our cap situation.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I guess I got caught up in the heat of the moment. Let me rephrase.....

A healthy Pennington is in a completely different league at this point in time than Losman.

Right now (based soley Chad's injury history) I could see why someone would rather have Losman on their roster.

I believe members of your team wanted Chad cut saying he was fragile as an egg, so that shows what they think of him. You compare Bollingers stats to Losman but Bollinger played in 2 more games and only threw for 218 more yards had 1 less TD pass and 2 more pics. Wow Brooks should be MVP:rofl:
Did you also realise when Ramsey played those games it was garbage time and the Redskins were already out of those games so those stats were inflated. All Chad has proven is that he is a soft QB that cant win the big games when they count. The only team Chad can start for in this league is the Jets.

Exactly, while Lossman probably is going to be a huge bust for the Bills, Pennington may not even be medically cleared to play. I think it's a safe bet that Brooks would start over Lossman. I understand the hate for the Bills troll however I think we should pity him. The Bills clearly are getting ready to tank the next season and than quietly sneak off in the night to LA.
