i have been going back and forth on this for 2 days...... IMO - johnson would have the better impact for the jets...... regardless of how i feel about our QB - we have to think about the entire offense as a package. point is even with a stellar RB teams will still stack the box against CP. the addition of a monster passing threat SHOULD open up the offense a bit more than the stud RB. it will occupy at least one CB and one safety most of the time he is on the field. he is that type of talent that if given an opportunity you have to go get. the jets are in DIRE NEED of a player/players the opposing defenses have to think about. jil
Johnson is the best prospect the draft has seen for at least the last 10 years. You make this kind of move for a once in a generation player or a franchise QB. I think Peterson is gonna be a great RB but he is not a once in a generation player, CJ is..It comes down to CJ or Quinn for me, depending on how they feel about Clemens.
Mike Williams was NEVER a can't miss prospect. He had tons of questions about his postential, whether it was his speed(4.7) or his work ethic. He was not even close to the prospect that CJ is..
Peterson is the best RB prospect since Tomlinson, and is probably going to be a terrific NFL RB for the next 8 years. Johnson is the best WR prospect of the past decade, which is saying a lot because I thought Larry Fitzgerald was about as good as a WR could possibly get.
The situation is fairly easy. We see nothing but 8 or more in the box now. getting AP doesnt stop that. CJ does. Not even a question.
Mike Williams was considered a cant miss when he was entering after his sophmore year. when he sat out his junior year, that's when he lost all his attributes.
