Hopefully Paradis Barr's the Panthers and comes to jets....how can you not beat that deal? Maybe the broken leg is worse than it's being led on?
Because the Jets have so much cap space, that's why it doesn't make sense. You're telling me the Jets couldn't have beaten that laughable offer? My initial guess is that Paradis just didn't want to come to New York.
Even if they offered Bell that, which is purely a rumor based off one tweet, they would have still been able to offer Paradis much more than Carolina. And that's before Barr backed out. After he backed out, there would have been 0 issues. Someone definitely isn't paying attention here...
BS. You don't just zero in on one player and forget everyone else. But if that did happen, then yes, please fire Mac now..
When you have $15M accounted for in a guy you have believed to sign, you move to your next phase of the plan. When that player randomly vanishes, you have to scramble to re-group on the move. They then offered Bell more. After honing on Paradis yesterday, everything came to a standstill today. This changes the plan and the operation becomes a scramble. In your head this doesn't make sense. I don't know what to tell you.
Of course we didn't. We had an offer out there for Paradis on a plan accounted for having Barr in house and moving on to other players. Barr bailed. The Jets are trying to compensate by crunching numbers on the fly to land Bell. Obviously they were waiting. This really should not surprise anyone. The Jets had a plan laid out. The plan was blown up at random. They don't just show up the day of free agency and start making phone calls.
So you're telling me that they were honing in on Paradis yesterday, then Barr de-committed, but the Jets then were at a standstill with Paradis despite MORE money being available? Guy, this isn't working out for you. It's embarrassing honestly.
What, they only have one phone line at One Jets Drive? I call BS. If Jets didn't reach out it's because they weren't interested. It's not like they didn't have enough money for both.
