I'd be lying if I said i wanted Kellen Clemens from day. As would anyone else who is excited to have him on the team. I just find it a little ridiculous that ppl are talking about draft prospects when the draft just ended last weekend.

Thats 3 potential 1st round picks at that safety position only, i also heard that Meriweather could see some time starting at cornerback too.

On the Meriweather/Landry debate, I think that this is the strongest draft class for safeties in a long time, maybe ever. Both Meriweather and Landry are pro bowlers IMO and Kyle Jackson could be a big time player as well. I would take Landry on personal preference because I think that he is a more well rounded player, but both should be top 10 picks.

Nesquick, I have 2 questions for you:

    1) Doesn't Ahmad Brooks play inside linebacker?
    2) How can Paul Posluszny be your #1 defensive prospect yet be ranked behind Brooks?

    1) Ahmad Brooks played ILB in a 3-4 defense at Virginia but in a 4-3 he's a OLB.

    2) I put Paul Posluszny at #1 because he's going to be in the 07 draft ,Brooks isnt going to be in that draft cause he's going in the supplemental draft but i feel he is a better player and deserved some recongnition.

OK since you have 4 gators on your list I may as well comment. Thomas and McDonald are definitely not the top 2 DTs in the country. McDonald will probably be an end in the pros. Thomas will be a top pick next year, McDonald probably not as high. A guy that doesnt deserve to be on any list but is definitely worth watching is Jarvis Moss, hes gonna have a huge season next year, mark this down, he'll be a top 15 pick if he goes pro. As for Siler, as GH said he has been better than Channing Crowder was, and Crowder would have been a late first early second rounder if not for the off the field issues. Siler is a solid late first early second rounder next year. As for Kyle Jackson, comparing him to Ed Reed is a joke. I like the guy, but he is very overrated, he may lose his starting job next season, definitely doesnt belong on that list. Another guy that could be on the list is Earl Everett, hell probably be a late day 1 pick next year.

But the thread is 2007 draft prospects, excluding Brooks for consideration.

I said that i know tht he isnt in the 07 draft but just because he isnt going to be in it doesnt mean he doesnt need to be talked about at all.I just felt that this list could be a place to put him in since he is still a prospect.

To me he seems to be in the Watson, Harris, etc. mold of underachieving DTs. He's got the talent, if he brings it together and puts it up consistently he'll be a high pick, just not ready to annoint it on him yet.
