Very logical and makes very good sense, but I believe is the logic of a team that has no gaping holes. Unfortunately, that isn't a description of the Jets. Moore is indeed on his last legs as you indicated and I would love to see a monster like DeCastro replace him. But Moore is still a better Guard than Hunter is a tackle. Moore is still a better guard than anybody we currently have playing safety. Moore is still a better Guard than anybody we have penciled in opposite Pace. If there is a plan (FA, draft, whatever) to address these other concerns, then I have no problem with DeCastro to replace Moore. But as I see it, 2 safeties, an OLB and a OT are just bigger needs atm. I also think that it hurts veteran leadership, which was sorely lacking last year.
