The Good: Conner must be ready to tear it up in the NFL.
The Bad: The last person who deserves this is T-Rich.
The Ugly: The relative-timing of the SI article about Richardson that was recently published.

Yeah but why should he come back here if that's the case? To back up a rookie for a team that may have cut him just so they could give his money to someone who held out all of training camp while the team was out there working towards a common goal (if that turns out to be the case)?

Yeah, good point. I did not think of it like that. Until Revis does sign though, this means nothing. Also, it must be apparent that Connor outplayed Richardson or the talks would not even have been made (and the cut of course). We'll just have to see if its 17-13 Ravens and the Jets get the ball with 1:45 left, do they have what it takes to win it? Who will step up? Obviously Richardson would not be the guy to step up in that situation, but he would be a voice in the huddle. It will be interesting to see Monday.

Tough cut but can we really utilize two full backs since only one can play special teams.

Does Richardson's salary really affect the Revis negotiations. I thought with the uncapped year, they could use guaranteed money without an issue and the base salary could not be bumped more than 30%. Willis and Dumerville (sp.) got resigned. T-Rich couldn't have been making that much.

The front office is really leaning on the talent that they brought in to make up for the leaders that have been cut from the team. I hope they're right. It was good to be able to see the team play well into the playoffs. I don't want to see the SOJ from the front office perspective.

I may be wrong, but I believe Tanny and Rex have plans to bring T-Rich back and eventually into the Coaching/Management part of the organization.

Hard knocks may reveal alot of this situation next Wednesday.

    HOLY SHIT!
This one is tough to accept.

On a team that is lacking leadership this is bewildering?

No Leon Washington, no Tony Richardson, no Coles, no Revis, no Faneca (where is the leadership going to come from New York?).

Couldn't say I didn't see this coming. The HBO hand job was probably just to soften the blow for a guy that the organization has gratitude for. He'll be picked up by another team that needs his services if that is what he wants.

We need the roster space, though I hope we cut the midget sooner rather than later. Let the Terminator Era Begin!

why? how about because if he doesnt do it, he never plays another down in the NFL again, and he doesnt make another $700,000 or whatever his new salary will be. If T-Rich isnt snapped up immediately, then he has two options, retire or come back and play in NY on a non-guaranteed salary.

As much as it is morally wrong, this is a bussiness, and if it somehow helps us bring in our best player, it is a necessary evil
