In a couple of weeks when they resign him to the vet minimum and bring him back into the fold you will be able to breathe a deep sigh of relief with your security blanket safely back on the bed. Try and get by until then.
releasing A beloved player in the locker room for his leadership intangibles..... who was making the vet minimum after publicly saying he's on the team..... not good. :shit:
heheh i was drunk and heated... Revis got him cut. Hard Knocks clearly showed that the Jets are operating with a strict budget.
How many teams really carry two fullbacks anyway? It sucks they cut him but he was only still on the team because he is a good guy anyway.
Well, you are correct in writing that teams rarely carry two fullbacks but Richardson is still a productive player and still a good blocker, and again, the guy was making the vet minimum. I agree with you about it possibly being a prudent business decision but I don't think it's anywhere near a no-brainer.
well that does make a lot of sense.. its a shame we already signed coleman.. would rather TRich over coleman 1000x over..
It's because he has some leadership ability. No one else on the offensive side of the ball has taken over that role. Hopefully Sanchez, Mangold and Greene will in the near future, but right now, he is the only one being vocal.
interesting... makes some sense, but would have to come with Tony's approval obviously. Also if he is resigned today / tomorrow, would hard knocks simply not discuss him being cut, or would they go through the process of cutting richardson, bringing in revis and then bringing him back?
I think this weeks Hadknocks is going to be huge on Revis so they prob gloss over T Rich, but they will prob mention it
If it is true, then I could see them showing the unselfish Richardson excepting the temporary cut for what is best for the team!
How quick could he be re-signed? I thought he had to go through waivers first...when do they expire, 3 PM?
