I've seen some really naive, stupid shit in this place since I've been hangin around here, but now I fully realise just how little understanding of the NFL a boatload of people have here. I've always been the patient type, trying to avoid critisizing posters, and being pretty vocal about those posters who launch into insults and personal attacks when someone disagrees with them, but this thread.... is filled with posters who act like their dog just got hit and killed by a car. Fucking ridiculous. Assinine.... and yes, no clue about NFL football, and what it takes to try and build a SB team. TR became a boat anchor with a rusty chain. You would think we just cut Mangold. Give TR a place in the ring of honor. Enjoy watching Connor. Get the fuck over it.
Yes, he is a dinosaur. He's only (1) never out injured and (2) blocking for thousand plus yard rushers all of his career. Sure, Conner is young, unproven and hasn't gone a full season in the NFL ever, but you're so right. This makes perfect sense. Post more pictures please. TIA.
Ya know what? You are right. Let's bring Namath back. Sanchez is unproven, and Joe Willie knows how to win the Super Bowl. Yeah, that's it.
john conner may be a high light reel blocker but there is NO way he is a better consistent blocker than t rich. this is a bad move for that reason. its a good move because bagelbaum is trying to save money where he can and they think conner is going to be good enough. it will be a shame if the running game suffers and its because t rich isnt there to make the most important block on the run.
With everything thats happened within the last 24 hours, its not really a surprise that there were casualties. T-Rich probably knew that he may be subject to being cut. You don't play in the NFL for as long as him and pick this stuff up/ Full credit to TR though, mentoring Conner throughout TC regardless of the situation. It'll be interesting to see who steps up into TR's 'leadership' shoes now. Thanks T-Rich, class act
Not a fan of the move, Just sayin. T-Rich was a great guy and will be missed, and obviously a leader in that locker room.
I swear some Jet fans will want every single player on this team.Tough decisons are made everyday.Having Two fullbacks is just not necessary.Sad that Tony has to go but its not the end of the world. You will get over it like you got over penny, TJ, Faneca etc etc.
At the end of the day, Jets Management aren't great guys. They don't care what kind of leadership you bring or what you gave to the team, they don't want to guarantee any of these guys 10 cents if they don't have to.
Sad to see tony go, but we do have the terminator, he just got an oil change and ready to run people over, and as i predicted revis signs before game one, wow i never been wrong about a player since i joined TGG scary....
things are sure to be whack in the locker room tomorrow after all that's gone down today. luckily, the players wont have time to be toooo angry about the t-rich move after our beloved revis has agreed to return
how the hell do we keep laury and get rid of t-rich and coles? i understand the financial situation but i'd think laury would be the first of the 3 to go, all things being equal
Roll on the days of 110 men rosters then these threads will be no longer. Guy is classy yes and a leader but we have a replacement ready to go . Again Tanny has an upgrade ready to roll People have faith
0 of those 3 were going to start. 1 of those 3 has ST value. Laury has ST value. Laury stayed. Coles will probably be back though and maybe T-Rich too
The Terminator is a promising player but cutting T-Rich right now was just stupid as was the Faneca move.
