Exactly! And now the team is loaded with arrested players and bad citizens! Rex is building a crumbling house fashioned after his own style of flapping his gums before he delivers a single thing.
None have been bad apples HERE unlike in Pitt where their rosters have been littered w/ arrested players and had 3 guys arrested multiple times w/ no discipline from the Steelers.
Actually, Holmes is following the leadership style of his coach by flapping his gums to the media about any and every thing. What about this team has been kept in the locker room over the past 3 years? Nada. EDIT- amazing- as I was typing another 'flapping gums' was posted above. Let me change mine to 'yammering out loud in an attention seeking fit'.
the best part about this is that Tone just confirms what most of us believe... that our main problem on offense is scheme/playcalling... yes the o-line needs to block better, but it would be a little easier for them if the defense didnt know what we were calling every play... Holmes is right in every thing he said. you can argue it all u want if he shouldve said it or not. but the fact is he said exactly what everyone is thinking. SOMEONE had to say SOMETHING. how long could u keep masking the fact that our OC is a pussy. hes got to be very frustrated and i dont blame him... hes a playmaker. let him make plays... u ppl act like the offensive linemen are sitting in their lockers crying and wishing holmes was gone. these guys r friends. if the media didnt give their opinion on every little thing that comes out of a players mouth this wouldnt be a big deal... its time for schotty to open up his eyes, open up the playbook, let sanchez play football, and utilize your weapons according to the defenses weaknesses... OR GET THE F*** OUTA TOWN.
Did you read what he said? he said they are calling plays they have to call b/c the OL can't block. How can you call a pass downfield if you can't give the QB enough time to get it there. It doesn't matter if we had Bill Walsh calling plays w/ the way this OL has performed. Watch how much better the O and playcalling appears in the coming weeks as te OL gets healthier.
Let's not debate the character of NFL players, as a whole, they have none. They are, on average, uneducated, ignorant, human beings who are not accountable for their actions because of the money they make and the organization (the NFL) behind them. What I am proud of is the team I root for and how their BS does not become media fodor like what is happening right now with the Jets. Rex is creating a talking team which will be in the news more often than not for the bad things that happen.
yes i read what he said and yes i said the o-line has to be better... but there are others ways to get the ball down the field... there are no excuses for attempting 2 passes in 5 games beyond 31 yards... max protect? also even tho the o-line was pitiful to start the season, there are playcalls that counterattack an over aggresive defense... we did not even see him attempt to call any screens or draws... whether or not it wouldve been effective is besides the point. the point is he didnt attempt to adjust and counter
Actually no.....on both cases. If you want to talk about the "accusations" made against NFL players we would never have time to talk about football.
That pretty much is my sentiments exactly. Look at your mistakes before you go criticizing other members on your team publicly.
Ok, be proud of an organization that has 17 arrests since 200, I'll be proud of mine for "only" 8 w/ zero repeat offenders. Pitt has a great organization, you don't win as consistently as they have w/o it but let's not pretend they don't have any trouble and they are all good guys. Your team has had many more incidents than our team has. Ours get publicized more b/c our coach is always talking.
Drew Brees, Aaron Rogers, Eli Manning and Big Ben have all been sacked at least 11 times and some more than Sanchez. Brady was sacked 4 times by the Jets last week and still did enough to win. Please someone explain to me why this third year QB should be coddled like a two year old! NFL Qb's get hit deliver the ball to the WR Period! I believe Bill Parcells said that.
Wow, didn't realize that Rex torn down his team to the media. I guess all that My, we and our team stuff was just going over my head. How could you compare the two, even in the slightest is crazy. And how bad was B-Edwards in the locker room if this was the receiver we kept or was that another miscalculation in free agency.
i don't think you're paying attention to whats actually going on. it's rex that wants to go back to the ground and pound.
The Giants and their fans weren't assuming that the Super Bowl was theirs before the season even started, either -- and while their QB is a turnover machine on occasion, he's not only allowed to throw deep, he actually does!
He needs to come out and publicly say it. I'm sure he said it in the earlier games and nothings change. Thank you Based Holmes
