No but, it's obvious you have to be a #### to go to a rival board and post negative ####.
    Jets fans know whats up.....

And you can do whatever you feel like But, i would feel like a huge #### if I spent my time on a rival board being a ####...

    Suit yourself ### #####.

Kinda sounds to me like he is defending Shotty (who he sounded critical of last time he spoke out) explaining why we haven't been able to throw the ball down field. And he is 100% right.

    i think you're confused!

leaders don't throw their team mates under the bus. everyone knows what the problems are, from coaches, team players and the rest of the league. just keep your thoughts in house and don't go public with them.

you play consistently by catching the damn ball. it's not as if holmes has been perfect and the rest of the team has been a bunch of screwups.

i guess it's getting clearer why pitt was so quick to get rid of this guy for a 5th rd pick. locker room cancers when things aren't going their way are team killers.

He's absolutely right, this O struggling ia all about the OL. Not playcalling, not the QB but the OL. I expect our Ol will keep getting better as Mangold gets healthier and as Brandon Moore gets healthier(people forget he missed most of camp). You can't run w/ no holes, you can't pass w/ no protection or running game and you certainly cannot get the ball downfield when your OL gives you 2-3 secs of time.

I think he phrased it better this time than the last time.

This and his repeated brushes with the law. I am so glad the Steelers know how to run an organization! 99% of the Steeler fans had no idea this crap was going on. They just quietly got rid of him and didn't skip a beat.

I hate the people who like rationalizing with him. "Well, he's right." This guy is running in the opposite direction of what having a C on your chest means.

Can't disagree with what he said but I don't believe he should be saying it to the press. Unfortunately the NFL or the world in general is a different world with the social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter. Nowadays anybody can say want they want in a few lines and 1000s of people can read it within seconds.
The problem is a lot of these idiots don't think before they post or speak and the implications are sometimes very damaging.

You can't phrase stabbing your organization better.

The rule of thumb for a professional athlete is to not say anything negative about his team, coaches or teammates. Once that rule is broken they could be the Mark Twain of athletic dialogue and it wouldn't matter.

Holmes mouth is now a problem for the Jets and they have no real effective way to deal with it. It's going to be a bleeding wound the only question is whether the bleeding is a trickle here and there or a gusher.

yeah, Pitt doesn't have anyone whining bhind the scenes. you only had one of your best defensive players attack your QB.

It had everything to do w/ ben's problems why they got rid of Holmes, they couldn't get rid of Ben so they had to do something w/ Santonio.

The "C" on his chest is nothing but nonsense, he was a leader last year and he's still a leader. the guys in the LR don;'t need to see a "C" to know who the leaders are.

I don't think he was stabbing the organization. He didn't say so and so sucks, he said it starts up front which we know. They cannot do anything until the problems up front get fixed.

Aren't you a Steeler fan? I need to explain this to you?

They had the black eye w/ Ben's wandering hands then they had the blakc eye w/ Santonio's problems and looming suspension. They couldn't gte rid of the QB so the move they made was to rid one of their problem children and that was Holmes.

It's nice that you "think" you know what went on behind closed doors but let me help you out. Ben was stupid for putting himself in a position to be "accused" "again"......Nobody would get rid of an elite QB for that.

Smokey was in trouble over and over and over again, plus he was a cancer. It was an easy decision and it was done without media fanfare. It was done without tearing the Steelers locker room apart. And the Steelers didn't skip a beat without smokey.

The best part?.......Nobody knew about Smokey being in constant trouble with the law and being a cancer unless they dug really deep into the Steelers. It wasn't part of the news, it wasn't bantered about on Steeler forums.

    Nice imagination dude:grin:

That's the point, Ben did something worse but b/c he is the QB they got rid of a position they could replace more easily but you are crowing that they know when to get rid of guys.

He was such a cancer he won you a SUPER BOWL.

Esiason made a good point about this this morning - the Giants had a bad loss last week, and you don't hear anyone pointing fingers or complaining about anyone else. When someone does speak, its to say "I have to get better". Fat ass big mouth should stop acting like the fucking leader of a frat house and start acting like a head coach.

I don't understand Holmes has he has to call out the OL in public. Why create the tension? Would he be OK if Mangold said "You know if the receivers just caught the ball the last game we would have had an excellent chance to win against the Pats"? Doubtful. All Holmes has to do is come out with the standard lines like "It's a team effort. We are all going to have to play better including us receivers and we'll get this thing turned around." Not saying that this is the end of the world, but really nothing positive can come out of this.

If I was Rex I would sit the team down and tell them until they play a perfect game then don't effin complain about someone else.

You're missing the point, several of them as a matter of fact!

    1. There are less than a handful of people who "know" what Ben did.....what we can all conclude is that he was very stupid for putting himself in the position again.
    2. The Steelers run a solid organization and refuse to put up with guys who can't stay out of trouble......no matter how good they might be on the field. Yes, Smokey made the big catch but to say he won the Super Bowl is foolish. And the bottom line?.......The Steelers didn't miss him.

No matter what he did or din't do he put himself in that position and the organization was embarrassed. If he wasn't the QB he would have been gone.

The steelers are loaded w/ guys who can't stay out of trouble.

He was the MVP of the SB and made perhaps the greatest catch in SB history- he won the game.
