Favre was meant to take us to the next level, just like LT is meant to, otherwise we would have stuck with TJ. TJ can't catch, so we are going after a HB that can, to help out Sanchez.
You want depth, go after the many decent prospects that are coming out in the draft.
Leon, coming off a broken leg, Greene has durability issues, LT is in decline, how much? Don't know Solid line up at HB

Take the green goggles off man, Manning plays the whole game, we most likely go out of the PO race. We had a lead against the Colts, but still lost .

Just another pointer the main componenets of our oline are young ( Brick and Mangold.). Moore is only 30 . Sure we need to upgrade RT/LG but its not as if all 5 of them are pushing 35.

    Thought about it

Even with LT, I still don't think we are good enough for the next level, and once again, we could have given those reps to a rookie, thats how I see it. Not a popular idea I know, but thats my thoughts on this .

You can always give reps to a rookie but we have a running back who started 3 games tops as No1 rb for the Jets and that is at a push. TJ clearly lost more than a yard from week 10 onwards and the lack of interest in him from elite teams says a lot for his value.

Lt is an upgrade on TJ even at half speed he is still quicker and that is what we need someone to change the pace up a bit and with experience. If this move fails they will draft a RB higher rather than take on a project in say rnd 4.

Tomlinson has better opportunities in New York.
You will get more carries backing up Green than Peterson.

My guess is that we made a offer that is slightly better than the one Minnesota made to Tomlinson. Now we just have to wait and see if Minny matches, or exceeds our offer. Its all about money and I hope Tanny didnt overpay for this guy.

LT going home to think it over isn't bad news, its what he was going to do regardless of how good the Jets deal was. So it was expected.

He'll decide by monday. That's my prediction

They were selling a Favre Vikings jersey right before he came here.
