Here is the problem in a nutshell. Celebrating and gloating are two entirely different things. Gloating and rubbing players and fans faces in it does lack class. Celebrating achievement is the payoff to hard work. The problem is the line between celebrating and gloating comes down to interpretation by the losers and that's where good sportsmanship comes in. A good sportsman doesn't go crazy in front of a vanquished opponent, he shakes he's hand and walks off the field and celebrates with his team in private. The league recognizes that the players are out of control because they have instituted penalties for taunting, the fact that a penalty even exists is a testament to the lack of sportsmanship in the entire league. The fact is the Pats along with every other team in the league is full of players who have no concept whatsoever of how to behave, what good sportsmanship is all about and as long as performance and meeting minimal standards of behavior is all the league and the teams demand, this will only get worse. This is a league problem not a Pats problem and that's where LT misses the mark in his comments.
WAHHHHHHHHHhhhh!!! LT is such a cry baby. It's not classy when Merriman does that ridiculous dance and he acts like a total buffoon.. LT was just mad his team blew the game.. plain and simple. It must've been embarrassing to see the Pats dance on your field LT.. I got a kick out of it. Maybe this will motivate the Chargers next year.
