I am not suggesting the Yanks give back their titles, they earned them. The point was the folks pretending to be holy on here for another team. If we did exactly what the Pats have done the fans would be bashing the NFL and everyone attacking the Jets. what test did Brady fail? I must have missed it. it's not like we have SBs to distract us. speak for yourself please.

I like the Bonds analogy...... The dude was so good anyway, too bad his arrogance and ego took over......sound familiar? It's also hard to overlook the later part of the quote......... unless you went to UNC
click on any posters name, on the right on the screen that pops up click ignore. some threads are better without it, some are better with it. this one it wasnt necessary so i put it on ignore and was able to blow through the thread very smoothly. its so seamless that i actually wondered if it was on vacation. i had forgotten
Why the snide mocking tone to describe not only the NY Jet fanbase but by extension a former New York Jet as well? Here's all you need to know about where people like Amani Toomer's come from: Amani Toomer: Roger Goodell uses Gestapo-like tactics Posted by Michael David Smith on April 21, 2011, 11:01 AM EDT AP Former Giants wide receiver Amani Toomer says the way NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell deals with players is reminiscent of the tactics employed by the secret police of Nazi Germany. “I think the way Mr. Goodell has handled this, the way he’s kind of using his power, is like the kind of a Gestapo-type situation, controlling the players, not letting the judicial system do its work,” Toomer said Wednesday, in comments that were repeated on ESPN Radio Thursday morning. “ Toomer is far from the first person on the players’ side of the debate to offer a harsh assessment of Goodell. But Toomer’s comments go far beyond what any player has said about Goodell previously. It’s one thing for Derrick Mason to call Goodell a joke. It’s quite another for Toomer to liken Goodell to a Nazi.
I brought up this point on a local station down here. Also I noted in that week 7 game vs the jets where he complained about the ball, go back and watch that game. He did not really play well. Statistics dont always tell tue truth. Blown coverages where guys were uncovered and there was nobody on the side of the reciever helped brady look better than he really was.
Pretty bias article. To suggest the NFL didn't care about deflated balls before this happened is fine. But also gotta realize they didn't care about teams taping opponents until Spygate and didn't care about bounties until Bountygate. And to a bigger extent they didn't give a flying fuck about their players beating women until a video came out that put it in the spotlight. Sports have rules. When rules are broken the culprits deserve a punishment.
What true "Jet fan" mocks Joe Namath and the fanbase for appreciating what he did for this franchise and the league? Yeah--pulling out Amani Toomer as your evidence is incredibly weak--he's a nobody constantly saying brash things to make a name for himself. And he HATES the Jets so he's just tweaking Jet fans when he sides with Brady. Weak sauce. _
basically how it works is anyone who says anything anti-NE is telling the truth, anyone presenting the other side isn't credible. Got it.
No, anyone who says anti-Patriots things is expressing a view and anyone defending the Patriots is expressing a view. NEITHER ONE is dispositive of the truth. These are all just opinions. Nobody here knows how "most" people connected to the NFL feel, one way or the other. Attaching the "most" qualifier to ones opinion does not further that opinion as being true. Post a tweet or article one way or the other and you can find just as many going the other way. _
I don't care how much Toomer thinks Goodell is a nazi. I don't put any credence into what he says. He's a nothing trying to make a name for himself. _
Thanks for posting it. If I had been Goodell, I would have stripped the Pats of the Lombardi Trophy and given it to Seattle, would have fined Kraft about $5 million, suspended Brady for at least 8 games, and taken away their 1st round picks in 2016 & 2017, just to make sure that NE and every other team in the NFL got the message that cheating would NOT be tolerated. Fining them before and taking their 1st round draft pick didn't seem to get the message across, at least to Kraft and the Pats organization.
