OJ? Are you fucking serious? Hopefully this is the holiday weekend booze talking. You're veering into Burning Elvii territory.
If the NFL doesn't ask for it to be expedited, they know it's probably a lost cause. I could see them quietly drop this next spring on some Friday news dump. Especially if the owners change how the league discipline is meted out, which a handful of owners seem to be pushing for. Daniel Wallach @WALLACHLEGAL 54m54 minutes ago NFL has not yet asked 2nd Circ. to expedite its appeal of Judge Berman's ruling in Brady; absent expedition, median appeal time = 10 months
I don't even think it'll be a news dump, I think it's be a big announcement. For the overwhelming majority of people outside of this message board this thing is over with and as far as TB is concerned he's innocent - or not even close to being proven over 50% guilty of anything. Which mathematically means he probably didn't do it. And the reason makes sense, the judge ruled on the technical legal points of the case but in the hearing he did ask questions about specifics and exposed the so called "evidence" as garbage. There's no denying that played a part in the ruling that he sealed up air tight for appeal. People are happy for a reason. The fuckin' air pressure at halftime was normal in the first place. I think he should sue the shit out of the league for defamation no matter how steep the climb.
I don't think it has anything to do with whether they think it's a lost cause or not, they just don't think they'd get a ruling to expidite which would look like another loss upon a loss. I think they'll fight it out in due course and want to move the circus to the back pages. _
Whether I agree with you or not I respect your passion. But... Burning Elvii is big giant shit-stain.
I beg to differ.....that term is reserved for the Cleveland Browns, your sad coaches former team. He wore that pedigree well and it transferred to the stained trophies. Gonna need a good call from Stanley Steemer to ever remove the taint ......better yet call it a Cleveland Steemer
Nice! Would that also make those tainted rings "Brown rings"? I think Kraft is wearing his around his nose, in defense of everybody's FAVORITE Quarterback Tommy Terrific. Wear that brown ring "Mr. Kraft" wear it everywhere you go. Where's Abyzmul when you need him? I know he hates me but this convo is headed in a direction for which he is truly the master!
Put down your horns and glasses great fools Florio has done his heel flip back on the attack And Berman will be wearing a clown shirt after the appeal Tom Brady wasn’t “exonerated” Posted by Mike Florio AP Patriots fans have spent most of the day rejoicing Judge Berman’s decision in the Tom Brady case, and rightfully so. But to the extent that anyone believes Judge Berman “exonerated” Brady, the celebration is going a little farther than it should. Judge Berman didn’t exonerate Brady. More specifically, Judge Berman didn’t find that Tom Brady had no awareness or involvement in an alleged (or actual) football deflation scheme. Judge Berman also didn’t find that Brady did not obstruct an NFL investigation. Instead, Judge Berman found that, even if Brady is guilty as charged, he can’t be suspended. The NFL Players Association wisely refrained from putting it in those terms, since it would have caused some in the media to claim that the NFLPA is conceding that Brady is guilty. (When, for example, the NFL argued to Judge Berman that it doesn’t matter whether Ted Wells was truly “independent,” some thought the NFL was admitting that Wells wasn’t independent.) The question for Judge Berman wasn’t whether Brady did or didn’t do it, even though some of his questions to the lawyers suggested that Judge Berman was curious about whether Brady did or didn’t do it. The question was whether the NFL had the power to suspend Brady. Judge Berman concluded that the NFL did not have that power. Who's laughing now Bart Hubbuch @BartHubbuch 9m9 minutes ago Interesting factual nugget: Richard Berman's former law-firm colleague Stephen Case is on Columbia's BOT Emeriti with ... Robert Kraft.
Maybe he could be the MNF color guy? Al Michaels is a full blown throw poop at the wall right wing freak show if you've ever heard him speak off camera. It'll be perfect.
Not even close. Almost 70% of football fans believe Tom Brady is a cheater "ESPN.com NFL fans, by nearly a 2-1 margin, support the league's sanctions against New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and the team, and more than half think Brady himself cheated in what has become known as Deflategate."
Wrongly. His conclusion was that Brady had no advance notice of a possible suspension due to his conduct. The Suspension of Art Schilchter and it's attendant circumstances are something every NFL player is well aware of (Betting). The NFL(Goodell) threw the case by specifically avoiding the Betting (appearance of impropriety) argument.. Just as I predicted they would. Hanging the suspension on the PED case was a well thought out feint. They could have used the Rapelisberger suspension, and said it was for the destruction of the cell phone. They could have used Betting...that's the more onerous argument. The fact that they did not, tells you they wanted the Penetrator vs. the Deflator on opening night.
