You can not say, with complete certainty, that Brady had anything to do with the deflation of balls. Full stop. An example of what you can say with full certainty: The New England Patriots won SB49. Full stop.
And, as an aside, I agree that Brady was probably part of some sort of scheme. Roger didn't prove it, though.
Of course you cannot say it with full certainty, no video evidence in the bathroom, no sworn testimony from the balls boys, no written confession from Brady. But we all know. I see you'd prefer to play the naive child or just the complete homer happy to get away on a technicality. I thought you were better than that. I guess not. Full stop. _
I think you believe what you want at this point, which is fine by me. For all intents and purposes this whole discussion is over. Wouldn't mind for a bigger league discussion, I think it needs to be gutted. If it makes people feel better to imagine that Tom Brady led some scheme to deflate footballs and without that would have been Tim Tebow - then I'm happy they're happy.
here is the legalese take on these points Kesslers of the world must have clued in on this but the case will live on..... "Breathe, breathe in the air, don't be afraid to care!!" Paragraph 15 specifically refers to the power of the com-missioner to discipline a player for gambling or drug related activity or for "conduct reasonably judged by the League Commissioner to be detrimental to the League or professional football." This clause is a law professor's dream in that it allows endless questions of whether the commissioner could fine, suspend, or terminate the contract of a player who does all sorts of possible things -commits a felony of various kinds (e.g., rape, embezzlement, child molestation, sodomy, perjury), is arrested frequently for drunk and/or reckless driving, admits to being homosexual, gets into several bar brawls, punches out a newspaper reporter,' joins the communist party or a white supremacist group, or what have you
+50 for the pink floyd reference -100 for being a jerk off The judge is human, he ruled on what makes the issue airtight with regard to appeals - at the end of the day his ruling was that the NFL lacked "fairness" in their finding. So stop trying to convince people that you're impartial - I'm fairly certain everyone here thinks you are clinically insane and you actually make anyone with a coherent argument sound like a loon for sharing your opinion. Come up for air dude.
He can also have his career end on the field.Tha Ok fine. You wanna make this about Law 101(Like I said earlier Deflection,Denial & deception). The CBA was set fourth to operate under a preponderance of evidence burden of proof. The incriminating text messages, destruction of evidence, lack of credibility associated w/ non-coop,prior history of wrongdoing & the testimony of Brady's cronies MORE than meet the burden of proof standard. You wanna argue that these aren't real pieces of evidence? And what exactly is the defense? What piece of evidence exonerates Brady in any way, shape or form? There was never any alibi. There was never any explanation for the conflicting evidence other than to question the manner of due process & baseless maintained innocence. I'm not a lawyer but my prior career had me deeply entrenched in statutory civil litigation & its process. Based on my experience..the preponderance of evidence is overwhelmingly stacked against Brady. "Beyond a reasonable doubt" or "The smoking gun" theory need not apply to this case. If I'm the NFL, I get crafty. Yeah Brady won on a technicality surrounding the peril in question. But why not suspend his ass for solely the non-cooperation. CBA's are not exactly my expertise but I'm willimng to wager there is underwriting within the CBA and/or the player conduct policy that safeguard against non-cooperation & disregard for a formal investigation. If the turds want to make this about technicalities;Fair enough. Federal court isn't gonna save his ass if he's in breach of contract for acting like a complete dick during the investigation. * "Win for the people"? You're really gonna go there? Who am I kidding? This is the same fan base always touting their "Patriot way" bullshit. Yeah I guess if by "People" you mean greedy, self centered reptiles w/ no respect for the sport or their colleagues, willing to go to pitiful levels of espionage to fix games so they can shove their false sense of houlier than thou bravado down everyone's throat. Power to the people! Home of the brave! Kiss my ass
ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk 18m18 minutes ago On PFT Live, attorney Jeffrey Kessler says he expects a ruling on the appeal of Judge Berman's Brady decision in the Spring of 2016. Are you kidding me?
I'm willing to wait if you are. These things just get juicier & nastier with age.Like a fine wine. It's just the possibility of 1 more ring being tainted & mocked.Maybe it's during the appeal, maybe it's an ESPN outside the lines, maybe Ted Johnson finally feels like a formal sitdown..the truth is coming out. Anyone who has followed the NFL since 2000 knows their guilty. It isn't complicated or properly concealed. Right now they think they are invincible. But they've evaded the law & had lady luck on their side for far too long. Karma is coming & she's pissed. Except for maybe the Patriot football network(NFLN) there will be no pity party or mercy.
The only think I might argue is that I thought ESPN was the Patriot football network. (and Red Sawx network and Bruins network and Celtics network)
