Woody would have to both open up the pocket book and hope Saban wants to try something new. The guy makes $7 million already, that would make him the 5th highest paid NFL coach in the league. (by comparison Bowles makes $4 million - among the lowest) To get Saban to leave you'd have to raise that ante, possibly over the highest in the league >$8 million.

even then, making $7 million in Tuscaloosa, being treated like a God as you destroy everyone while coaching college kids sounds a hell of a lot better than going to New York for $8.5 million, dealing with this fanbase, the pompous professional players, clueless Woody Johnson and the New England Patriots twice a year.

I'd say the chances are close to 0% Saban comes to the Jets

I'm pretty sure Todd is in contention for the worst names on the planet. He shouldn't have been hired on that fact alone.

No one respects a dude named Todd.

With the difference in cost of living and lifestyle, they might have to pay Saban closer to $10 million. I don't think he'd even consider it unless he was just really bored with being the genius of the college game and wanted to take on an impossible challenge (winning a SB with the Jets). I don't think that even his ego is that big.

So are we to infer that you're not a fan of Todd Rungren?

I agree. Saban is going to finish as one of the most decorated college coach ever, and he freely bosses college kids around without reporcussions. He has no reason to leave unless its to an Super Bowl ready team. We'd probably have to offer him something outrageous like $20 million/year for him to even consider it.

He'll probably win three or four more National Championships, get his statue and retire. I doubt he even has to recruit that hard anymore. Bama has #1 recruits lining up to come be backups. No reason for him to even think about leaving.

Something about Harbaugh to me seems more realistic. His ego wreaks of one that he's frustrated he didn't get that Super Bowl ring. No way he leaves without winning a couple of championships af Michigan though, especially with how close he already is.

Thank god I can't watch this game! Do the Jets even have a defense? This has all the markings of a fragging.

I think he has to go because the level of play has been embarrassing.

Didn't we have one of the top rushing defenses in the NFL a few weeks ago? What the hell are the doing in practice each week? They only seem yo be getting worse.

Rodgers said the players are making mental mistakes with the scheme for each game.

More likely Rex Ryan coached these guys up and they have had more than a year to forget what he taught them.

That Bowels got a vote of confidence this week from the owner is laughable on the bright side Mangini was told to his face that he was safe and Woody shitcanned him ! theres hope

Bowles getting a vote of confidence is one of the biggest jokes I've heard in a while. I wish I could be as incompetent at my job as Bowles is at his and still maintain the "confidence" of my employers.
