I'm not standing for the national anthem until we get a franchise QB.

No way they're stupid enough to go simply BPA again. It was that nonsense that got us our logjam on the DLine now. Yeah I know Williams is a baller but did we really need him? No.... Result? Sheldon playing OLB. Stupidity and piss poor roster management.

If they don't start to rebuild the OLine PDQ, it won't matter who's Qb or who's HC for that matter. If Macc likes his job, he better show more acumen during the draft than simply being a BPA drone. More like BPA NEED first and foremost. That means BPA OLine or BPA RB or should there be another Qb available, QB. The last thing this team needs is another 1st rd. DB, Safety or DE. Perhaps the next LT will be sitting there when we draft and if that's the case, the rest of the draft would have to be all offense.

Cornerback is over rated. Unless you get a rare shut down corner like Petersen, Sherman or Norman or even Revis of a few years ago, any competent NFL QB will beat a competent corner if given time to throw. That's why pass rushers are so valuable. They can make so-so corners look good and good corners look very good. The problem with pass rushers coming out of college is that there are so few measurables that will predict whether they will actually get to the QB and register a sack. You can measure speed, strength, quickness even the number of sacks they had in college but none of those will tell you whether the guy will be a successful pass rusher in the pros. (See Vernon Gholston.)

P.S. Watson is not Geno. On a scale of Geno to Prescott. Watson is a lot closer to Prescott than to Geno.

I would only care about winning or losing this game if it meant the difference between a top QB prospect, which it won't based upon how this draft is shaking out. I don't see a vast difference between drafting #3 or drafting #6. Let's all remember though how awful the niners are - a loss to them could get Bowles fired. I also would read very little into player performance against this team, they just got smoked by the Bears and will not be an curate litmus test on a player'a future in this league.

I'd like that approach. It pretty much assures we'll get a decent pick in the '18 draft which is shaping up to be a QB draft. You dump Geno after next season and start the best guy in'18.

eh, he's pretty good but just because he kicked our Gamecocks' asses doesn't mean he's great.....

Guy has had some great recievers. Your downfield accuracy would be considered great if you have receivers running wide open for you. He stares down his targets a lot and I don't believe sees the field very well. I will say that he is a good competitor, I admire that, and that I don't believe he will fumble very much in the pros because of his hands and where he holds the ball.

I think he's gonna be your typical spread college QB that struggles adjusting to the NFL game because he can't read the defense. It will be harder even for him to see the field as 6'2..I believe he's a smaller Ryan Tannehill with a better attitude, a poor man's Marcus Mariota in terms of abilities
