Yes, we are currently at 46M after taking on Marshall's 7.5. Harvin makes 10.5, do the math.

I'm under the impression it was not actualy filed to the league maybe just informed the agents. I don't know I could be wrong but I don't think we can negotiate with him till 4 tomorrow.

Bill polian said today if option isn't picked up at 4 , he's a free agent. They could come to terms with him now. It can be announced until 4 tomorrow

Don't know what the source is, but I got a TeamStream alert saying the Jets "won't break the bank" for Revis and "won't be trigger happy" which makes me extremely optimistic we are going to do the right thing should this guy want any more than $14 mil.

Sounds like it might happen too, if this is accurate:

"History tells us that Revis is fond of the colossal payday. If this comes down to greenbacks, the Jets are in fine position to bring him "home." If one of the best defenders of our time, though, has grown more fond of playoff wins and Super Bowl rings, he'd be wise to stay tucked away in Foxborough.

We'll find out where his heart lies soon enough."

FA doesn't start until 4PM tomorrow but they can talk now with that 3 day rule that started Saturday night.

His heart lies where the most money is and always has, as long as you accept that nothing he does will upset you. If we offer the most we get him, if somebody else offers more they get him.

Teams can't engage in the "legal tampering" until Patriots actually decline the option. A reporter saying they are going to decline it doesn't count. I'd be shocked if they didn't let it run until 3:59 pm tomorrow before officially declining it.

I could be wrong but I don't think Reiss has his facts right. If he's right than that's pretty messed up. How could the Patriots decline an option in his contract, yet still "have him under contract" under FA starts.

Don't they have to release him so the option isn't exercised? if so that makes him available...

They can't have it both ways right? ie. not pay him his contracted bonus but still have him under contract/not allowing him to talk with other teams??? how does that work..

From the article I posted above
"One thing the Patriots might be considering is that one advantage they have over other suitors, such as the Jets, is they can openly talk to Revis over the next 24 hours because he's under contract to them. "

FA doesn't start til tomorrow...even though the deadline to pick up the option is up, he has to either belong to someone or be an FA right? sooo I hitnk he still " belongs" to the cuntreats until tomorrow

If the Jets don't get Revis, they at least need to drive up the price enough to kill NE's salary cap.
