    fuck off

TLaw ain't special and you'd all be crowing about how we are "ruining" him...

    9 TD 14 INT

1 TD in last 6 games... not more than 228 yds in those 6 games

    Mens size 7?

    I've heard @Dierking is a rather big-boned fellow.

I'm seeing a lot of this lately and it used to be a real pain on this board. I know it's a shit season but let's not turn into a bunch of catty schoolgirls whenever we see a thread we don't like.

Alternatively, ask the group owner for a ladies' fashion section.

There is no sense in rooting for the team to lose for two reasons. One - it’s your team through thick and thin and you don’t give up on them just because they keep losing.

Two - it’s the Jets. If the last 11 years have taught us anything, no amount of first round picks have fixed this mess yet.

I agree. And we've seen what years of losing do. It destroys a team and leaves a stench that takes a long time to clean out. And the most recent times I can remember people being up in arms over us winning a meaningless game and losing out on a great player, it turned out to be Marcus Mariota. It's too early to tell on Lawrence but he isn't lighting things up yet.

But IF you root for them to lose, then you aren’t disappointed on Sunday afternoons

True, but it's a bitter, twisted kind of satisfaction.

Who am I kidding, that's still more satisfaction than this team has given me in years!

Unfortunately for me, I can’t switch my fandom off like that! I just turn it off when it gets out of hand and the TV is in mortal danger.

The thing is, the draft has to be the fundamental building block for your team but there are other ways to build.

The obsession with draft picks in the Jets case is odd, because people seem to be hoping for different results from the same inputs.

Personally, instead of stressing if we will be number 3 or 4, what I think the off season has to be about is adding proven talent via trading some draft picks. We have an abundance of picks and cap space. Go trade for a quality lineman and an edge rusher. Stop signing people like Jarrod Davis.

Most importantly, let’s not just add a load of kids to the roster but sit back happy because we’re ‘building through the draft’

Fair enough. But remember, every random thought that enters your head doesn’t warrant a new thread.

I completely agree, I just think threads die more quickly if ignored... and I didn’t think this one was too bad..

I think he’s talking about the people who pissed and moaned over missing out on the first pick because they wanted us to lose every game but we won some meaningless games late. Lawrence stinks so we didn’t miss out on the generational QB everyone claimed him to be. I think that’s what he’s saying at least.

Poorly thought out sentiment, but I agree overall that rooting to lose/tank is stupid.

If we had any recent track record of making excellent picks then I'd maybe start rooting for a loss here or there but the difference between a couple of spots in the draft order hasn't/wouldn't change things.

The only time I've ever truly wanted this team to lose was last year, when we were trying to get Trevor, turns out, every option with this team will always be a failed attempt at success.

Are curses real? I can't imagine anyone that Is a Jets fan, can definitively say that curses aren't an actual possibility.

Man... That daily reminder of just how much we all fucked up rooting for this team, never gets old, eh? It's just a fresh cut, almost every day. It's amazing how that works.
