I think the deadline puts the nail in the coffin for us.

Bell seems like such a jackass that giving him an ultimatum in the form of a deadline will be such an affront to his ego that he'll take his ball and play elsewhere.

    Fuck him.

Anybody think there's any truth to Bell faking the Ravens interest to drive up the offer from the Jets?

probably thats exactly why you put a deadline on your final offer which the Jets apparently have done

Not really sure why we cant just stand pat with McGuire and even Crowell. Draft a RB in the 3rd or see who shakes through as FA drags on.

I think so too. These teams know their offers get shopped. Bell's team has been shopping the Jet's offer all day.

Ingram will sign with Baltimore. Bell will then go to Oak. And we have to hope we don't miss out on Coleman.

The only saving grace is I believe Bell & Coleman share an agent, Adisa Bakari.

They can even try to bring in someone like Jordan Howard. Not sure what Chicago wants for him, but he puts up good numbers and he's got three agewise years on Bell. Of course his biggest downfall is that he has hands of cement, but at least they have other guys who can pick up that role.

other holes to fill and RB is pretty easy to find these days. we could grab coleman or even a short term deal in ingram. all depends how mac wants to use the money we have

No Barr and now, chances are... No Le'Veon Bell.

Oh well. We're Jets fans and don't deserve anything fun and exciting. I'm used to it.

rumor is oakland is cash poor now and won't be looking to sign bell to any offer he'd like. Indy is a higher chance IMO and if indy does sign him, i'd see if we could swing a trade for marlon mack

For having Mack already I can't see them bothering with Bell. However, if that were to go down, I'd try to give up that Saints 3rd with quickness. I like Mack.

I don't have a link, but apparently Mark Ingram to the Ravens according to Ian Rappaport.

I’m ok with giving our best offer to Bell and moving on. We’re not desperate. Gase seems to like running back by committee anyway.
