Sanchez needs to be more like Ryan and complete 64% of his post-season throws. Who cares if Ryan is 0-3 in the playoffs and has 3 TD and 4 INTS. COMPLETION PERCENTAGE COMPLETION PERCENTAGE COMPLETION PERCENTAGE....right ? LOL
Fine, I'm no longer loyal to Sanchez: (1) Tell us your plan to get Brady, Manning, or Rogers to QB the Jets since.... (2) 2/3rds of the other QB's in the league do not appear better than Sanchez in the regular season and are LIGHT-YEARS behind him in playoff performances.
Rodgers 3rd year as a starter was his 6th in the league after having close to 3 years of starting experience at the JUCO and division 1 level. Comparing that to Sanchez' 3 years of starting from his rookie year and one year of starting experience in college is a bit disingenuous. You are also taking a lot away from the talent at the wr position for those guys. The WR's certainly benefit from having two top guys throwing to them but they don't lack talent. Pitt has Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, Heath Miller and Hines Ward still being a solid possession guy. GB has Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, Jermichael Finley, James Jones and Donal Driver. The talent surrounding those two is nothing to sneeze at and is certainly better top to bottom than what the Jets had this year. The depth was easily better too, though that could be attributed the QB's being more talented too.
Ok everyone keeps saying that Mark only started one season at USC and has been in the NFL for 3 full years right? In all honesty Mark has been playing football for most of his life probably, did Rodgers sit behind Favre yes he did. But at the end of the day Mark needs to step up or go and this needs to happen soon. As far as Pitts wideouts Ben really has Wallace and Brown, before that he had nothing other than an old Hines Ward. Did Ben benfit from a strong D yes, just like Mark has but the end of the day Ben has done more with less on the O. As far as Rodgers yes, he has Jennings and Finley when healthy but Nelson was nothing until this year. I just dont see Mark making his wideouts better, as in Peyton, Rodgers, and Brees.
We say it because it is an important factor. He has a pretty small amount of passes at the most important level before the pro's. He has had to go through a lot of growing pains that a QB with 3-4 years of college starts gets to go through in college with more room for error. These are things that the Jets had to be prepared to accept when they moved up to draft him. So far Rex and Co. have done a good job being patient with him even though the fans aren't doing so well after one disappointing season. As far as seeing him as someone who will make others better, you wont see that until it actually happens but I don't think you will find many guys who were making everyone around them better in their third year in the league.
