No, my point is not that Sanchez is not a HOF player, its that I am not sure why anyone would think he would utilize a weapon like Megatron. We all know that Sanchez is not a HOF player. We also know that Sanchez did not throw to Tone, his best weapon, enough. He threw to him once against the Dolphins. Once folks. Why does anyone think he would be a different player with Megatron? As for Gronk, if he is this unstoppable force that no one could ignore, he would have been a top 5 pick. He wasn't. Heck, he didn't even play for a great program in college. It was not until Brady made him that people want to ride his dick and pretend they always knew he would be great.
Yeah, as if TE's always get drafted in the top 5 (actually, it's never happened in NFL history). If you'd ever seen Gronkowski play in college you wouldn't be saying this. In the one game I saw him live he looked like he a man amongst boys. Not claiming that I'm a evaluation expert, but anybody could see that he had talent. He was an All-American in his sophomore year even when missing 3 games. The guy played only two years in college and was hurt missing his entire Junior year and then came out early. He then got drafted in the second round. For a two year TE, coming off a year-long injury, and getting picked in the second round shows you that the Pats thought very highly of him. The fact that he is lighting it up (unfortunately) is not a surprise to people who knew about him.
To all the people claiming that Mark is no good because he doesnt have good wide outs are nuts. Did Kolb light it up with the Cards, answer is nope and last time I checked Fitz is one of the best, what about TJ Yates is he lighting it up and he has Johnson and once again the answer is nope. Stop blaiming everone around Mark except for Mark, the guy has had a great D and steady weapons on the offensive side of the ball and still looks like shit most games. You can not keep blaiming everyone else anymore, Mark needds to go plain and simple.
actually, john skelton (fordham) played qb for arizona after kolb was sidelined, and both of them played better than sanchez. and, nobody considers arizona's oc as some kind of genius.
Mark needs one more year with a different OC. If he fails, then he will go..."plain and simple". But I have a feeling he won't fail and you'll still be sitting here after 3 more years demanding that Mark Sanchez needs to go "plain and simple"...... I have a bit more faith in him (just a tad) than you do.
These are the HOF canidate John Skeltons numbers: Year Team G GS Att Comp Pct Yds YPA Lg TD Int Tkld 20+ 40+ Rate 2011 Cardinals 8 7 275 151 54.9 1913 6.96 60 11 14 23/162 31 7 68.9 Once again not great numbers, he had 14 picks and 13 Td's in 8 games...... this was against STL x 2, Seattle x 1, and Clev x 1..half of his games was against shit teams....
If Mark gets his head out of his ass and plays good football like the 5th pick should I will go buy his jersey...but if he plays like he has then he needs to go....
his numbers sucked, but skelton did win a lot. i think he went 6-2 and could've beat (i forget the team) if early doucet hadn't fallen down all by himself on a sure touchdown pass. i'd still take sanchez over skelton in a heartbeat but the whole ugly numbers, wins games thing sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it?

First of all, Yates is a rookie who played in 6 games, to expect him to do anything more than he did is more irrational thinking. Kolb was a first year starter for the Cardinals, and an unproven commodity to begin with. These are two very poor examples. I want Sanchez to be a great QB, or even a good QB. To have that happen, you need good weapons, you're going to need a top flight receiver or a good rounded receiving corps. We don't have either. But I give Sanchez credit for netting 32 TDs with such an average group. It leaves me to wonder what our offense can do with better weapons. Our average is very steady. An old, out of his prime, bullet hole in leg, prison inmate who was already slow as hell even when he was good, and before his 2 year bid. A very average malcontent with questionable hands, who can't beat the opposing team's #1 corner on a week-to-week basis, and doesn't get good separation and doesn't get open enough to warrant the team's #1 receiver position. Then there's the TE, who's supposed to be our most reliable target. How many passes has he dropped? Steadily bad indeed. It was obvious from the get-go that this group wouldn't work. No burners. No reliable targets. No guys who consistently get open and a #2 receiver who is guaranteed to never be open, and a #1 receiver who is supposed to be the #2. You want to know about our weapons? History has shown us that even with bad/average QBs, good receivers will still get their numbers. Reggie Wayne outperformed Santonio Holmes with Kerry Collins, Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky. Damn near 1000 yards with absolute crap. You mentioned Fitzgerald with Kolb and Skelton? The dude had over 1400 yards and 80 receptions and 8 TDs. That while getting blanketed with constant double teams. In case you didn't know, he had the second highest yardage output of his career playing with Kolb and Skelton. He was 4th in the league in yards this year. Here's a 'top of my head' list of receivers who have performed with bad/average QBs. Randy Moss(made QB a pro bowler) Terrell Owens(made QB a pro bowler) Larry Fitzgerald Steve Smith(made QB a pro bowler) Brandon Marshall(made QB a pro bowler) Andre Johnson Calvin Johnson Dwayne Bowe Anquan Boldin Our best wide receiver? 654 yards and 51 receptions. Laughable. No good/great QB is getting it done with a receiving corps as bad as ours, so it's just irrational thinking to expect Sanchez to be good with a receiving corps as bad as ours. This goes for any QB who we have lined up at center. Don't look at this as a Sanchez defense. I want him as our QB, but at the same time, it doesn't matter who we have back there, he's going to need weapons. I'm growing tired of these second-rate receivers being brought in and the unavoidable expectancy by the fan base for the QB to make magic happen. Irrational thinking is irrational. Almost forgot this nugget. Just quit embarrassing yourself. Do you even realize what you're asking?
Even when Sanchez had Cotchery, Edwards, and Holmes last year (certainly a good receiving core), he still posted bottom of the league stats. Holmes certainly didnt become bad overnight. If he was some stiff the way you and others talk him up, he wouldnt of netted a big contract and gotten the preference over Braylon. Perhaps the reason the receiving core looks not that great is because their stiff QB can't get them the ball without it being way behind, at their feet, over their heads, or just flat cant see them open. Theres a reason why his completion % is flat out garbage when the majority of his passes are dink and dunk. Also, you mean he netted "26 TDs" since were on the receiver discussion. QB sneaks and naked bootlegs aren't really telling of his receivers. The sooner some of you Sanchez worshippers come out of denial and start putting the majority of the blame on him, the better. Theres a reason former players/teammates, nfl analysts, and others directly involved with the NFL are blasting Sanchez for his play and im sure they probably know a lot more about what they are talking about than us....
Do you really want someone to post his baltimore games or the countless others where he has looked like a deer in headlights in?
when? and dont say when we get a RT or a new OC...cause P Manning hasnt had the best O line in the game and he does just fine...same with Brees and Rodgers..
What do you mean when? These are all games where he has been good and been a reason that we won. No he didn't look perfect in all of these but he contributed to a solid win and a few losses. Two years ago just off the top of my head- Cincinatti X 2, New England, Tennessee, San Diego, Indianapolis x2 Last Year- New England x2, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh x2, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Cincinnati, Denver, Miami win This Year- Jacksonville, Washington, Kansas City, San Diego, Buffalo You can just as easily go and find games where he was bad and was the reason that we lost or didn't put us in the best position to win. Point being he has been very inconsistent. And to the RT point no QB would have survived with the pressure that sometimes came with Wayne Hunter (not) blocking. Nobody can throw a pass with the amount of time it takes to push a cow backwards and hit the QB (about 5 seconds).
