I caught the game on NFL Network when Murrell was playing. He's very technically sound. He uses great hand placement and leverage to get past a tackle. I'd like to see him move up to 2nd team to give him a test on how he could manage the next tier of players. Good depth with this kid. A tad undersized at 248, but he's a little lanky - so he looks tall but not thick. Makes up for it with the way he plays. Think of him as the LB Ratliff.
i remember this thread vividly. thanks for bringing it back to the top. the kid has potential and has surely shown something. alot more than many others have. i definitely think he stays and would be very disappointed if he didnt. ps all of you that were trashing the guy who put this thread up a few months ago please step up and eat your crow. as this kid has impressed. which shouldnt have been surprising after reading that article. carting around a tire and with the name murrell.
what Jet fan doesnt know who M Murrell is , Its preseason and Jets been taking a good look at him. He's looked better then B Thomas. Ill be surprised if Murrell doesnt make team the way he's been playing, He doesnt have the sacks but some of the sacks by other players were because of Murrell's preasure , he's even playing with a higher motor then VG who has quit on some plays. I hope VG becomes the next LT and Im a die hard jets fan just like the rest, but VG has not looked good
