Preferably I like the upper portion of the Lower Level or the Mezzanine, but you couldn't pay me to attend all 10 games in the Upper Level unless I'm getting in the first 4 rows around midfield. I don't know how people watch the games from way up there. Can't see anything and takes forever to get there.

That whole stun gun incident happened a few rows behind me up in sec. 324. I distinctly remember hearing the "crackle" and without even turning around I thought to myself... "Who the f*ck brings a stun gun to Football game?" Have to give the NJ State Troopers credit though, they got it a few "subtle" licks while "escorting" the offending (aren't they all?) Cowboys fan out of the stadium.

The saddest part is that might not even make my top 5 most ridiculous Jets game stories.....

Hahaha @ the saddest part. You know it. I've given tix to a good friend's son several times when I couldn't make a game because he LOVES the Jets. Great kid. You can't find the video online anywhere now, it wasn't the Colts game, but some idiot decided to hop on the field and run like hell. He almost made it into the EZ. Jets fans were yelling GO, GO, GO!!! You could hear it on the TV. He got demolished near the 20 by a NJ State Trooper. I'm talkin' demolished; but then put his hands up while handcuffed, and everyone cheered. Jets fans, you can take the Jets fan out of Shea, but you can never take the Shea out of a Jets fan. I think Troy Aikman was announcing the game. Please someone who is better than me try to find it. It's classic.

My friend's son emails me and says, "The Jets won! Thanks so much! It meant a lot to me!" "The best part of the game was the streaker." "Haha, pretty much."

Possible new thread "Most ridiculous Jets game Stories?"

I think my most memorable was back in the old place I used to sit in Sec. 125. It was after 9/11 when security got to the point where me and my buddies stopped trying to sneak beers into the game because it became too much of a hassle honestly I have frisk stories that should end up on the #metoo list. So anyways me and one of my buddies get to our seats and there is a well to do looking couple sitting in front of us that obviously weren't football fans but must have won the office lottery for the company tickets to the game that week and figured it'd be a great way to get some fresh air on a crisp fall afternoon in the swamps of NJ. Fair enough. No Judgment here......

About half way through the first quarter they are obviously bored and annoyed that people at a football game are yelling, screaming and cursing all around them. Then............... like magic, they manage to produce an honest to god Yogi Bear style wicker picnic basket out of thin air! I know it had to be under their seats but I swear to god it was just like a Doug Henning was sitting in front of us. It was impressive to say the least.

They proceed to pull out a bottle of wine out of the basket. The bottle is followed by 2 long stem wine glasses that were probably made of crystal. Finally the guy pulls out a Swiss Army Knife looking wine key / machete thing that could kill a person in a heartbeat and opens the bottle of wine and pours them each a glass to enjoy. By now, my buddy and I (our entire section really) have completely stopped watching the game and are just watching these folks with a mixture of awe and bewilderment. They then spend the next hour and a half drinking wine and eating cheese and crackers before packing up and leaving. Not ONCE did any security come over and find out just what the hell was going on. It was an AMAZING thing to witness. For the rest of the time we were in the old stadium someone from our section would always scream "Who Brought the Wine?" right before Kickoff and we'd get a good chuckle out of it.

Man I miss that old dump!

Sat up in the 300's for the New England game. It was OK, but man, the time it took to get up there and the time it took to get out of the stadium and into the parking lot was absurd. Not to mention, yeah, the players were a lot smaller. The only good thing I like about it, but you can get this in the Mezzanine and still see the players much better, is seeing the whole filed and noticing how plays develop better. In some stadiums, the Upper Level isn't bad. It sure wasn't bad at Giants Stadium. I liked it there. At MetLife though, it's a disaster.

    Me too.

Great stories. There definitely should be a thread for stuff like this. Would enjoy reading more!

I honestly care less about price than quality. The food/drink quality at Metlife leaves a lot to be desired.

The Mets suck as an organization (I say this a diehard fan who goes to 5-10 games a year), but the quality of Citifield food/drink is so much better than Metlife.

Make some real food, not this college cafeteria food, at the stadium and you can charge high prices, make a ton of money and fans are still happy. Until then, I’m eating before/after the game.
