Yea, man would rather rule a flaming garbage dumpster than bring someone in who’s qualified enough to put the fire out, let alone get out of the trash itself.
Why does it have to take 3 years? Look at the Broncos they were basically in no man's land paying Russell Wilson huge money to leave. They got Bo Nix and went to the playoffs. Look at the commanders with Jayden Daniels. With the right players you can turn things around quickly in the NFL.
Watching the game today, I can already tell it's not going to get any better. Even if they pack the team with talent, they won't win. Nothing has changed from last year. Glenn needs to be on the hot seat already. No more "give it season" bullshit. Hit the ground running or don't show up; we need to look like a potential playoff team almost immediately. If we're not in the playoffs this year, fire Glenn and start over next year.
It would have to be big, and a name that instantly changes the culture here, like Parcells did, the only Coach that could get that stench of this organization, would be Andy Reid, I don't think anyone else could.
Yeah agree it would have to be a big swing I wanted Harbaugh I wanted Payton We didn’t call either guy…sure chances of them saying yes maybe were not high, but fucking shit, Woody, make the call and you do that knowing you will have to overpay through the nose for a name like that. It is what it is. Oh, and you’ll also have to give them full control most likely. I would have liked McCarthy…no he hasn’t won a Super Bowl but he had Dallas in the Playoffs…a pipe dream for us But yeah, not sure who would be a good name now that both Harbaugh and Payton are working…McCarthy still there but here we are with a rookie DC again
I wasn’t a fan of Glenn running and sideline dancing. Actually I hated it! It felt like the equivalent of a player dropping the ball before crossing the goal line just to celebrate. There was still over 1:40 left so plenty of time for the other team to do something. It came off as silly, and honestly pretty amateurish. Also the clapping looking content after the team lost was also a bad look. I know it’s way too early to make any kind of judgment, but there’s some red flags percolating with him.
Not for me either but that FG goes over and the game is lost, he's let the excitement get the better of him, is that really a bad, bad thing? He was silly in thinking his 2nd in command and the DEF could stiff the Buccs from going down the field and getting a FG. Clapping them off after being down by so many and making a game of it in the last quarter is fair but hopefully, he ripped them to pieces for the dire first 3 quarters in the changing rooms.
exactly what Saleh would do Celebrate before a win, I am telling you Woody is the attracted to the same type of coaches over and over again just like I am attracted to skinny blondes, it will never change, doesn't take much to shmooze this buffoon in the job interview. He has prefrence for the same exact type of coaches than he goes "huh how did this happen again?" and fires them midseason only to replace them with someone worse. Only way we ever see the playoffs again if the moron finally gets it and lets a coach take complete control of this franchise from top to bottom like Bill Parcells did, this is beyond repair at this point.
That was totally a Rex Ryan type of moment. I didn't mind it that much, it was an exciting play that almost won them the game. Too bad they couldn't close.
We need an offensive minded coach. If Justin Fields somehow became an elite QB and this offense was scoring points, Ergtrand would be the #1 hot ticket rumored next HC to be hired. If Fields sucks and we draft a QB who goes on to be successful, Ergstrand is gone to become a HC and we’re looking at disruptions in gameplanning. I just don’t understand hiring a defensive HC when you’re looking to develop a young QB. We really need an offensive mind in the room that’s actually going to stay here. For example, if CHI becomes successful with Caleb, they’ll be a HC/QB combo for years ala Andy Reid and Mahomes. The offense will always be the same. With us, if we actually have success, we’re going to be hiring a new playcaller every 3 years. That only works if you have a very intelligent and succesful QB in place already.
LOL. Good luck. Any head coach who has sustained success with the NYJ will be able to pick just about any job in the NFL, why, for all that is holy, would they stay working for Woody?
