Those nania clips are insane. I knew Zack was horrible but there are WIDE-ASS open receivers out there. I watch other NFL games and see WR making wide open catches and wonder why I never see that from the Jets. The answer is Zack is terrible and does not know what is going on out there. He is non-functional!!! Miami is scoring 70 points in a game and the Jets cannot even get a first down!! I'm not watching another game with this jagoff at QB. Put Boyle in, trade for Tannehill or Cousins, anything but Zack Wilson. This brand of "football" is competely unwatchable!!!
Wow yikes. That’s bad. I’ve noticed that it also doesn’t look like he’s looking at anything. He doesn’t look at a receiver until he hits his back foot and is just staring straight at the goal post the entire time. No wonder he can’t see open receivers.
That's from nine months ago and is the same unsupported nonsense that has been popping up here since before Wilson was drafted.
I guess you're right, because all rich guys must know each other. Billionaires spit on guys with less than half a billion.
Zach played his career away yesterday. Whatever glimmers of progress we seen in the first few weeks were wiped away. No excuses anymore. Need to get Wentz or whoeever in the building today or else you lose the fanbase who have been played with and abused enough.
One reporter, I think he's the guy from the Daily News. was on the Channel 4 news at eleven and said by the time the reporters finished with the press conference most of the players had already left. The impression he gave was that they were gone fast because they didn't want to talk to the press because they had nothing good to say.
I kind of think Wilson might cause more than one altercation this season if they keep traipsing him out there. Tearing up the locker room...and the fanbase.
I got nothin. Zach made the most convincing argument against him ever playing meaningful snaps as a QB again. He needs to be replaced. If that's Boyle for this week, then so be it. But they need to get someone in who gives them a chance at winning games like yesterday (and even vs. Dallas where a couple of scores earlier in the game might've turned it completely around). There's only so long you can sit in a dark room waiting for the light to come before you get up and change the bulb. It's time to change the bulb.
Worst thing about this is that Rodgers probably hits every one of these open guys. Sometimes it's really tough to be a Jets fan
I knew it was bad, but after watching those clips, I'm sick. It's a full blown repeat of last year. I can't take it. I'll wait until I see who's QBing Sunday, but if it's ZW, then something might be going on behind the scenes that we're unaware of. My only thought is that Woody told JD and Saleh that they are coming back next year no matter what and to play ZW to see what he's got. And if he's terrible they get a high draft pick. I know that doesn't make sense for the rest of the 52, but I can't fathom another reason to put him back out there Sunday.
Serious question: WHERE IS JOE DOUGLAS? I haven't seen him at all at game coverage and I can find no quotes or statements from him since August 31. I think I remember that he had some kind of health issue during the summer. Is he around?
I'm picturing him down on one knee in his backyard between the shed and the big bush trying to stay quiet while Carson Wentz is out knocking on his front window peering into the house and calling out "Joe!" "Joe?" "are you home buddy?"
Those poor fans. First they have to endure the product Woody's put out there on the field. Now he's there to ruin their nachos too.
@Cman65 the time to move on from Zach was in January. Sunk cost fallacy at its finest. The Jets brass allowed this kid to sink another season and that is a fireable offense.
