Given there were plenty of Fin fans, he would have gotten a louder ovation than any of the Dolphin players.
If people want to go to the game, what's it to you? It was the Ring of Honor night for Chrebet and people wanted to honor him. It's you that's the jerk for criticizing people for spending time the way they want to.
lol why not just decline to introduce the offense period instead of making it patently obvious you're avoiding the boos.
T This sums it up. Just lose baby. This team needs a QB and the only way it's coming is through the draft. Winning 4-5 games gets this team nowhere. If you are going to stink, stink it up all he way.
To knock the Dolphins out? Of course I wanted to knock them out. The rest of the games I could give two *****, even New England since they're getting a bye regardless.
He is on the practice squad for a reason. If he isn't good enough to even be a consideration at QB for the Jets of all teams, then he is pointless. We have already seen that horse and pony show before, it was awful. He is the ONLY QB that has been on the practice squad for the majority of the season. If he was something remotely special, another team would have put in a waiver claim for him, signed him off our practice squad, something.. He's not the answer. Don't kid yourself.
They Jets came out in preseason and stated they wanted keep Smith at around 15 passes a game, it gave them the best chance to win. Translation means we suck at QB and if the team has to throw the ball it will lose.
I think the organization and the fans have seen the best that Matt Simms has to offer. It doesn't get any better. Why put that kid out there to get slaughtered? I will say this, if the Jets go with the same gameplan they ran tonight, they should sign Matt Leinert or Heath Shuler to run the team. It will get those guys away from doing Direct TV commercials.
We need to play Simms to see if he can be our long time #2 QB or if a miracle happens a starter. Smith sucks and Vick is history.
He isn't on the practice squad, hasn't been for a while. And if the reason he was on the practice squad was a decision made by this pathetic team that couldn't find a fucking quarterback on the moon with the Hubble telescope if he was a giant fireball flying around in circles, then maybe you should try to work on your logical thought process.
I really don't understand this logic. If Rex, MM and JI suck at anything QB related (as they have certainly proved), then how can you use their (sucky) judgement to support "Simms is worthless" mantra? If anything, the fact that FO shoved Simms in PS should be the biggest reason to start him.
Am I the only one that was laughing? I'm pissed off too, I know it's frustrating, but comon, we played like it was the 1940's, our QB was like 4/8 until the last drive, and we would've won if we didn't miss two FG's that may have been missed on purpose. It was pretty damn funny running on every single play.
Simms was the #2 QB all last year, it is hard to believe he is worse than Vick or Smith. Just once I would love to see Simms get all the 1st team reps and a start.
The issue is we need the owner to fire himself as an owner, and that's no going to happen, so buckle up and try to enjoy the ride.
If you STILL think that Geno is the answer, even as a backup, you are the one kidding themselves. We need at least two and better yet three quarterbacks going forward. While it is unlikely that Simms steps up as a franchise starting QB (it coupld happen), it is highly probable that Simms can prove himself to be a capable backup or a developmental third string QB leaving us with one less hole to fill. As a #2 draft pick who has failed constantly and can't read defenses Geno Smith has zero potential as a backup. Even if we somehow win out, it would be no different than last year.
CJ and Ivory had one hell of a game. Loved watching CJ turn back the clock for one game. Game was laughable other than the fact that I started Tannehill in Fantasy and lost by .10 points.
