I'm not trying to hijack this thread or anything, but Ryan Mathews was a first round pick, was he not? Considering the kid came out of nowhere after rushing for only a little over 600 yards as a true sophomore, I'm pretty sure I was right about that one.

You can call him a bust all you want, but considering he's only played in ten games, that wouldn't make much sense would it?

Now, back to Tim Tebow. How is scoring 3 TDs on 12 carries not an accomplishment? In a limited role, he's done his job perfectly.

If you don't wanna hijack threads then don't go out of your way to call me a retard every time you quote me.

I don't care about his touchdowns. They could line a defensive tackle behind center in goal line situations and he'd probably score a few TDs with 15 attempts.

It's not my fault that all of your posts are, in fact, retarded.

The second part of this retarded quoted post proves it.

Also for Mr. E: I made you a picture of Ryan Mathews. It's formatted to be 7.5" x 10" so you can import it right into MS Word or a program of your choosing and print it out at home. You can use it for your erotic fantasies if you so choose.

I hope someone buries him in the dirt and I hope he never, ever has a career in football. I hope he gets cut at the first available opportunity and never gets picked up again.

I can't stand sportspeople who use their position to peddle their religious or political views - no-one gives a toss about the Pope's view on helmet-to-helmet tackles or whether Obama thinks LBJ was right to do "The Decision", so I don't know where the fuck Tebow gets off doing Superbowl ads for his religious views.

I don't hate him to that extent but he's definitely overrated and over-hyped. I appreciate his work ethic and obvious love for the game but it's ridiculous how he's portrayed as god's gift to football.

So you were fine with Mawae wearing a cross on his facemask?

Tebow has done NOTHING to force religion down your throat. And the ad was not religious.

I don't like any religious or political views being displayed or promoted by sportspeople. I don't believe it's appropriate to use sport as vehicle for promotion of any form of partisanship other than that associated with the teams themselves.

You can argue whether the ad was religious or not, but the life / choice argument is not one that should be held in the context of one of the world's greatest sporting events and the NFL should not have allowed Tebow to appear in the advert. Actually, I don't believe that the network should have been allowed to run it at all whether it featured Tebow or not, and I also absolutely do not believe that the reverse should be allowed either i.e. a pro-choice advert.

It is highly inappropriate for sportspeople to use their positions to promote divisive or inflammatory views.

Can't we all just get along? It's what Jesus would have wanted.

    Rockefaggot,

It's funny that you're trying to arrange some sort of fight over the internet. I would gladly accept your offer, but it's against my morals to fight retards - even if they can spell "mentally" the right way.

    Sincerly,

    Mr. E

P.S. - Thanks for the picture.

Tim Tebow's most definitely not overrated as a college player. He's one of the best players to ever step on a football field at that level.

As of right now, Tebow's an unknown at the pro level. I hope he proves his doubters wrong.

Why? No one has to do what they say.

I'm not religious at all, but I don't give a fuck what professional athletes talk about...you shouldn't either.

If a receiver scores a touchdown and points to the sky, do you hate that player?

If a boxer wins a fight and thanks god, do you root against him the next time?

No, but I struggle with sportspeople using a position for which they are rightly or wrongly looked up to by many as role models in order to further an agenda of personal morality. I love it when sportspeople, rock stars etc use their position to encourage people to vote and engage with issues, I hate it when they tell people how to vote and what to think of issues. There's a fine line but Tebow has gone well beyond it.

A sportsperson thanking their personal god, be it Jesus, Allah, Vishnu or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, is fine. Everyone is allowed their spirituality. Just don't tell others that they should share it.

Jesus has 2 TDs so far - a 40 yd run and a 33 yd pass to Lloyd.

Today may be the coming out party for the 2nd string qb's: grossman threw for 4 TD, Stanton led the lions to their first road win in 26 games, and tebow is off to a good start. Maybe Matt Flynn will lead the pack to a win over the gaytriots

That female Polynesian on the Steelers wears a red cross above her nameplate. We rarely see it though because of the hair.
