LOL @ the people calling the play dirty because the guy tackled low Landry did the same thing on that play where the Carolina RB rolled his ankle. Was that a dirty play as well? It was unfortunate that the timing on the Baker hit was worse than Landry's and Baker got hurt, but there was nothing dirty about that tackle. That kind of stuff just happens in football
Completely different than the Landry play. Landry dove to stop him from getting around the edge and walking into the endzone. With Baker he was standing in the endzone and the guy dove straight at his knee.
From Rotoworld, Jets TE Josh Baker has suffered at least a torn right ACL, ending his season. Analysis: Baker is having an MRI Monday morning which may reveal even more damage. His knee was gruesomely bent the wrong way during a collision with Panthers DB Josh Norman's helmet Sunday night. The Jets will be scouring Monday's cuts for tight end help.
Pretty much what I was going to say. There's a HUGE difference in that. Landry made an open space tackle that if he didn't would have been a TD. The baker hit was unnecessary with Baker being covered by a defender already and the play happening in the endzone.
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN Team believes he'll be good to go for Week 1 vs. Bills RT @JoeMoney1188 Any update on Dustin Keller's condition (hamstring) yet? #nyj Cumberland was just a concussion. I expect he'll play week 1.
Jets are going to line Tebow and Cromartie at TE to play with Keller and Cumberland. Jets innovative 4 TE set brings us to the AFCCG where we lose to the patriots 10TE set.
Hayden was in the back of endzone on Tebow's last desperation throw at the end of the game....Hayden got up for the ball but it was just too high to catch. Would have been awesome if Tebow/Hayden connected on the last play of the game for our 1st TD ever! Can you imagine the beat writers?
He is still on the roster..one more set of cuts after Thursday. With all the injuries he may make it.
